joe nodden, 27 Dec 2020Assuming? Troll? More chipset alternatives? Are you mad? ... moreYes, it's pretty much the equivalent of the already failed snapdragon 8cx but with a way less capable GPU.

Don't know what Huawei pretends with this but to me it looks just like a "hey, me too!" to get on the Apple ARM-hype wagon.

Why anyone would consider this instead of a trusty x86 laptop. AMD laptops battery life is awesome and windows 10 is mature.

This might be an option when windows 10 or 10X arm can run everything else but I still don't see the point.

It's a chip set based on the arm architecture, they've been around for a long time, it has nothing to do with Apple. Qualcomm, samsung and next amd, intel and even nvidia will start making them for pc.

joe nodden, 27 Dec 2020A laptop with worse performance than their phones. Sad.Power & cooling in laptop will be completely different to that in a phone.
Higher clocker, faster storage & memory will add to performance.
            Plus it's running Linux natively.

Give some reasonings for your opinion. Spouting rubbish doesn't make your clever.

Come to think of it the troll made a strong point. Book, pencil and pad are proprietary words of Apple. Same hold for watch and phone.

But will a smartphone chip be enough for a notebook to handle that huge screen and a ton of processing? I'm assuming it won't be able to handle most PC games even if it can handle itself
