@World: Thing we should all together boycott American products, especially the mother of all copycat, Apple.
They had copy every mobile devices like MP3 Player the ipod, Laptop the macbook, Smartphone the iphone, UMPC the ipad. But then never contributing a single dollar and cent back to the communities with their gigantic profit margin out of cheap cost products.

iphone came at the precise moment when touch screen phone were emerging. And apple took every good bits from every vendor it could find and sewn them on iphone.
Yes they revolutionize the mobile phone industry, but i don't think apple has the right to patent a generic design of a phone.
Yes apple is a great artist because apple "steals"
Samsung is good because they "copy"

i have owned both phone appke 4s and samsung galaxy phone
if samaung has to pay 1 billion dollar to apple because the infringed on apple design then so be it they where smart enough to patient round coners,

There is a new ipad. The iPad mini. What size is it? 7 inch? Not possible... Apple is all about originality. They would never go 7 inch because the original Samsung Galaxy Tab came out at 7 inch. It must be a mistake, apple would never make a blatant copy like that.

For the people that may not agree with the jury verdict, lets not forget that thanks to apple Samsung ,htc and android exist TODAY and their designs are copy of the original iphone, apple did not copy nobody cause there was nothing like it before............... back 2006 2007 the only thing was Nokia n95 and look at them now :(

What if, say Citibank claim a patent for Saving. Then all the sudden every bank in the world must remove the saving from their services or pay royalty. This is an unfair situation for a generic product in a particular industry. You should fight in services, not claiming for something that peoples need. I think you all know who is the jerk in the Apple vs Samsung case.

Well, with $1+ billion, Apple will get samsung chips for free for couple of years... but then Samsung may or can increase the chip price in a way that (hope) Apple won't be able to sue again... Basically, Apple is US company, and Samsung is Korea (if this fight is in Korea, i think Apple may not win)

Every major Android OEM is already paying microsoft for patent infringments. You also have Apple going after the Android OEMs. Windows Phone 8 will have the same core as with Windows 8 and probably the next Xbox. Apple and Google can't beat an ecosystem like that. They already demo games where you play on Windows 8, pause it, and continue on Windows Phone. There is also Xbox Smartglass coming this holiday.
