Shameful act by apple. consumers knew what they bought, they made a choice over apple because of a reason and that is better quality. the fact that something could be copied is immaterial to them. So on the long run apple apple might have won a lawsuit but there's something bigger than that and 62% will eventually win over 18%

Again Apple went on to steal the iPad trademark,then owned by a Chinese company Proview Technology (Shenzhen).The Chinese company sued them for stealing their iPad trademark and finally Apple settled for $60000000 for the right to use the name "iPad".
It is important to realise that it was the USA jury and NOT the WORLD jury that found Samsung guilty.

Except design and User Interface Samsung had copied nothing and rest all are Samsung's own innovation. Don't involve Galaxy S III in this. It is not a part of it.

Just read a very interesting comment which further shows the injustice of this blinded jury in the apple vs samsung case. Since 1981 to 2007, Samsung, HTC, LG, Nokia etc made smartphones and phone with rectangular shapes. They never patented those. Apple come in and all of a sudden they are the innovative ones! Unless you are an alien, innovation builds on what has been. So who really stole? Shame on that jury. I still remember sendo, before iphone ever grew feet!!!

I think the jury have been lenient with Samsung. Otherwise, Samsung should fined more, something like $5.0billion dollars to seriously deter Sammy from attempting any similar action in future.

Samsung are where they are today because people like me have chosen to buy their products. We are all mature enough to decide what we want. As far as i'm concerned, whichever way you want to look at it, if someone wants an Iphone, then they will buy it. And if someone want a Samsung, Nokia or anything else, then they will buy it.
I make mp3s from my vinyl and tapes. The cassette deck i used broke and i had to buy a new one. This new deck came with a software disc that had Itunes on it. In order to record from my tapes directly onto my computer, i had to load Itunes first, and it caused me nothing but problems with the BSOD "Blue Screen Of Death", and the mp3s i made wouldn't play. In the end, i hooked the new cassette deck up to my hifi system and make mp3s as i used to do before. I wiped my hard drive and started again. This was back in 2008. And it's why i personally never touched an Iproduct, because i don't want anything to do with Itunes on my computer. All of the music, including the mp3s i made now play as should with no problems.
There are other reasons why i wouldn't buy an Iphone, but that's down to my own personal choice.
I'm not slating Apple, i merely stated why i don't want one of their products. I absolutely do not care about the way something looks! If it works how i want it to, then i'm going to buy it, and woe betide the person that is cheeky enough to tell me how to spend the money i earn. More to the point, there are millions of people around the world just like me, that's why Samsung are where they are today. If Apple actually ever make something that i like, then i'll probably buy it. Can't see it happening anytime some though.
