AnonD-973296, 05 Jan 2021how often is MIUI updated?I dont know. My phone got something 18 months of updates. 1 android update and 2 miui updates and something 6 security updates but thats still a lot for 170 euro phone where thats not even expected to have updates. All my other phones from the same price or up to 100 euro more from samsung or sony did got maybe 1 update and not as android update.
And these android one phones from Xiaomi were always under 250 euro phones so you get what you get. Other brands will get you updates on expense of hardware like Nokia. Get same hardware as A3 come out for 350-400 euro at the same time of the release for Nokia

nanagdad, 05 Jan 2021Yeah right. Very convenient, knowing many won't be abl... moreYou do realise that it's stock android and not MIUI. It's probably a reason why Xiaomi dont have Mi A4 in there lineup with stock android if it's complicated to support as we have seen with A2 and A3 so far. You get your stock android experience with the problematic updates

AnonD-973296, 05 Jan 2021is that....its that stock android, on a xiaomi, unheard of.... moreSeems more that the stock android is the dumpster fire when updates are hard to make on them and can brick the phone. While we dont see these issues with MIUI updates that come with new droid version

Anonymous, 05 Jan 2021Dont buy junk. Problem solved.👍

Yeah right. Very convenient, knowing many won't be able to. The cost of shipment on top of a buggy phone. This is the true example of cheap Chinese phone is expensive. Congratulations Xiaomi for killing the phones to Force them to buy one of your many released phones with poor software support. Only a suckr will buy again another good for nothing cheap but "expensive" Xiaomi phone. Never again Xiaomi. What a terrible software experience.

Well that's a pretty shady thing to do

I just have one thing to say: SHAME!

They will tell you to contact the seller if you live in a country where there is no service center. This happened with the Mi A2 I bought for my mom. You'll have to open it up and short the EDL test points if you want to fix it.

The answer is simple. Buy 5-10 times more expensive Apple phone. Its maintenace team is experienced in degrading batteries and phone quality so that they do not have to make excuses.
