Ive been using Sony phone since 2013, first the xperia t, and still use the xperia Z5 premium (writing the comment on this phone as well)
A huge fan of sony phones. Im planning to buy the xperia 1 mark 3. I would really love to see a bigger battery (4500 at least and amazing if 5000 mamp) and 30 watts fast charge will be amazing too but not more than that.

Blame Sony for cheapening out on giving big capacity battery and low capacity fast charging.

endurance/mah and you can see how optimisation works on phones, not necessarily xperia, there are some nonxperia that has good optimisation ratio too

[deleted post]Are you seriously comparing FHD screens with a panel that has more than two times the pixels? Fine, S20 in 1080p 120Mhz mode gets less than 90hrs. So there you go. S21 Ultra is a new generation device and has new generation display, let's wait and see what 1III brings to the table. But if we compare 1II with it's generation such as S20, S20 Note and X2 Pro you can see how much refresh rate eats up the battery especially sine 1II has more pixels to light up

Besides OP 8 there is no single QHD HRR device that gets 100 hours of battery life. Note 20 Ultra is the closest thing to Xperia 1II and that thing is no better besides 500mAh more juice.

The 4k resolution is not applied every second. Depends on the picture or video displaying at the moment. Sony has the best battery management in the market due to its included software. The designing its a matter of preference. It adopts an industrious design with touches of elegance that polishes its roughness. Same as iphone and now samsung design language. Their cameras have not any beautifying elements and try to offer what you actually see. Again a matter of preference, because it is supposedly used by a camera fan.

I have Sony Xperia Z5 and it was really disaster for Sony. Sometimes I want to smash that Sony Xperia Z5.
I don't know why Sony has released such as dumb phone in the market. The Sony doesn't look at what Korean companies are doing. The Sony was left behind Chinese and Korean Companies.

Back in the days when sony... Nokia were on top the designs were quite similar and I love it too when the look become simple but inside it which is the main catch... A good display battery performance... Powerful chipset.... But sony do not put your bloatware which was always present on your devices.... If you keep that aside... I will sure buy one.
