Exynos 990 had higher frame rate in Asphalt(last year release) than SD865.
That doesn't make Exynos better.

In the S21 it averages around 42 @ 5.5W, which is worse than the 47 @ 4.2W on the iPhone.

You say my comment is stupid, but damn, yours is way worst, like way up there.
Samsung did countless bad things, and not just on the Smartphone division, remember when they conspired with other memory printing labs to voluntarily hold them back to artificially increase prices which caused RAM cost to skyrocket?
Tell me they are an innocent company that never did wrong and always respected their customers and adversaries, so I have a good laugh.

Anonymous, 03 Feb 2021Shady things are done by Chinese manufacturers.I'd trust more China (that I don't trust to begin with) than the USA, no country is more shady than the USA, the ultimate master or deceiving.
Literally it is the bad guy who make other see him as the good guy despite doing worse than the supposedly "real" bad guys.
We all know how much the US gov and companies (mainly Google, Facebook, Amazon, Apple) love to spy on user and abuse in every way imaginable user data and get the most intrusive as they can in privacy, yet Huawei is the bad guy despite the fact that there is not a single proof against them (I don't mean they are innocent, just that there isn't proof they did any bad/illegal data collection outside their own country) while there isn't a month or even a week without a GAFA related privacy issue...
Don't get me wrong, every big corporate is shady, but the USA host the worst of them all, and most of them too.

There is a discrepancy between the exynos and snap dragon testing. The exynos phone had no sim card but was connected to wifi where as the snapdragon was in airplane mode for what seemed the entirety of the test. Not sure if this would make any substantial difference but seems that the two phone versions weren't compared in identical circumstances.

Peak performance of Sd888 > Throttled performance of A14.

The mi 11 has much higher thermal throttling limit so its faster than a throttled a14. Thats just in genshin, in gfxbench or 3dmark the a14 is faster i think, even after throttling.

on my phone the battery seems to last forever during the top and bottom 10% (90-100, 0-10),
but around 40 to 60% (especially 50% to 60%) is where the percentage drops rapidly
it'a a little trickery to fool users lol

That's CPU performance but GPU performance on the Exynos is still horrible compared to the Snapdragon and even the Kirin. The Kirin uses 24 cores of the same GPU the Exynos uses 14 cores of, this means the Kirin uses 10 more cores and as a result can achieve much better performance while keeping clock speeds lower and remaining significantly cooler as a result. The best GPU for Android is still that found in the Snapdragon followed by the 24 core Kirin... Exynos comes last.

2% is within margin of error which basically means nothing to be concerned about. The only thing missing was the measure of how much work has been done during the battery drain test. Without any objective performance value then there's not that much to compare about.

We all know what those firestorm cores inside A14 SoC can do. So, it's pretty obvious that A14 has to throttle to keep the temp.
The question is whether the performance drops significantly or not.
The truth is A14 throttled performance is better than SD888's peak performance.
