Hello Life, 05 Feb 2021tells a lot about you. you have zero knowledge and experien... moreYou clearly haven't tried quality content. Some things definitely have a little better detail than that. However yes being up close higher resolutions are needed.

SHAZAMM, 05 Feb 2021Ok now im hyped for VR technology..since apple is actually ... moreUuuuummmm. Since apple is delivering quality?? There has been plenty of vr quality produced by the companies that started, pushed, and expanded the tech.
This is apple jumping on down the road as the tech has matured and more powerful hardware is more ready. And throwing on a huge price tag.

Reading comments by some of these people is laughable. Apple mania is for real. 3k price is ridiculous but yet people are excusing Apple. Like 830 resolution on iphone 12, no charger, no head phone jack. No wonder apple gets away with whatever it wants

Shady69, 05 Feb 2021its too small and useless, a 4k is still too small to even ... moreHave you ever even tried VR glasses? :) you have no clue what you are talking about.

Ok now im hyped for VR technology..since apple is actually delivering quality products again like their current headset...still slightly overpriced...but they guarantee 100% quality in all their products..for now...time will tell....i still believe this headset can be sold for 1500US though

I don't think this can disrupt the VR Market. Well not enough to beat Oculus & Sony. Though it's just my humble prediction.

this looks awsome, but that price tag is just wild

So Apple will be responsible for resurrection of VR/AR.
Won't be using Apple VR though, others will finally wake up and expand the possibilities in this domain.

Shady69, 05 Feb 2021its too small and useless, a 4k is still too small to even ... moretells a lot about you. you have zero knowledge and experience with VR. have you ever tried oculus? or even gear VR? they look so pixelated with screen door effect. dual 1440p screen for VR looks like 480P. so 4k should look like 960p/1080p. Definitely not enough. 8k will look like 4k on VR. A must for professionals and perfectionists like me

It's just like Hololens by Microsoft. That one is in its 2nd gen and with already a refined experience for professionals with their pioneering tech from Kinect sensor. Another copied attempt by Apple. Might have been a success in the consumer segment, enterprise is different.

This is what I love about the brand. Through they charge high, they bring the most finished and rounded product, No experiments with the customer. If it is really two 8K displays, it is already better than any TV on the market.

Shady69, 05 Feb 2021its too small and useless, a 4k is still too small to even ... moreI think it's because the display is so close to your eyes, at that point >1000ppi doesn't matter when your eyes are a few cm away; it'll look pixelated

Wonder how this compares to the hololens? That seems focussed on business/education

I think VR/AR is the most exciting current tech, but it's gonna be so long before I can afford one...

-Trix-, 05 Feb 2021"why the hell would they put an 8k display on it?"... moreits too small and useless, a 4k is still too small to even tell the difference.
a 4k display on 15" laptop is too much, how the hell can you justify using an 8k on a screen that is less than half the size and so damn close to your eyes.

Wow 16 K display sure It can be powered by A16 or A17 or whatever the comes out, it will be upto the task.

But no one has produced a 8k 120 screen so far.
