rumors of exynos scoring between 3200 anf 4200 in multicore depending on heat and usage
apparently the power management chip if very proactive which gives a variation of scores as samsung don't want exynos to overheat
also gpu seems to throttle when reaching 40c seems be purposely put in by Samsung

while snapdragon has higher limit before throttling

What about sustained performance and camera quality disparity due to different ISPs used in the two processors?

Did anyone notice that S888 is even worse than S865?

No temperature test, no battery usage test, no throttling test.
In my opinion, the Exynos were worse in those departments than performance, atleast for the majority of users and use cases.

Those multiple antutu tests of what Arun did kind a represents how the phone will perform in usual day time use scenarios in summer period. If you think it is cool and runs fine, recheck that in summer time. GPS navigation, screen on and full brightness. Exynos 990 thottled in simple tasks that way.

Rather insignificant differences between Snapdragon and Exynos now. Good job Samsung. Old chipsets were quite inferior, but now they are essentially trading blows and that's fine. I wonder what will happen when Samsung incorporates AMD's graphics technology into Exynos chipsets. From early reports it was beyond anything competition can offer even in fastest chipsets. It's gonna be very interesting to see that one...

gsmarena you wrote down : Plus, the Snapdragon 888 also has the edge in terms of power efficiency per watt and hence an ever slightly-better overall battery endurance inside the Galaxy S21 Ultra. But when I check that video out, the battery results were in favour of Exynos model not Snapdragons.

Raz, 08 Feb 2021Agree. Absolutely useless test here. Where is throttle test... moreWell enough tests have shown that the game was apparently not yet optimized for the Exynos. For other games, the results are similar for both variants.Graphics application efficiency appears to be better with the Adreno GPU, and the Axynos has minimal advantages for everyday tasks.I have the device with Exynos and I am more than satisfied with both the performance and the battery. So everything done right Samsung. I don't care which of the two processors it is.

For me the most important item in any processor is the modem ! That is why I believe snapdragon processors ! They have very good modem ! It is not the speed which is important ! Without a good quality modem you have no speed ! Wether you like it or not you will have no speed without a good processor ! For example the snapdragon 845 has a fantastic modem and even until now he can beat your samsung exynos !

                          Snapdragon is better anyway.

Seen a lot bigger difference in games and other benchmarks on other sites, so these results seems odd at best.

It is like GPU test: Non Ti vs Ti, only few FPS difference.

It still baffles me that Samsung does this, and even worse, gets away with it. Granted, the average user doesn't even know what an SoC is, but to market two different products with the same name is really strange and unethical. Can you imagine the ensuing backlash had this been Apple?
