I think the world will benefit from more competition with Huawei, they make quality phones and if they can over come the political issues with the west, this extra competition will benefit consumers with better value and choices.

Good. His whole family using Apple product. US can spy them anytime anywhere if they want to. The only way that I see is collaborate tech with their 5G, allow them to use American Qualcomm if they worry about backdoor too much, stops completely them from using their own chip. Thats a real win-win situation.
Its hard for me to jumpship to another brand once u go with their flagship. Currently very very happy with my P40 purchase.

What?? I've been using Huawei phone for years...since when it needs 'iTunes software like' to move files? NO ADDITIONAL SOFTWARE NEEDED. Its an android phone, work just like any android phone does.

All mobile modem use tech from Qualcomm, american company.
Also, companies from other countries do not want retaliation from USA.
This is main problem.
USA gov can easily threat any of the suppliers to cut ties with Huawei.
