People here keep insist on using one app for all needs and telling others to abandon the other apps instead of just using anything available for any specific needs, and then they wonder why some companies have monopoly over the others.

TikTok and Xiaomi are f..ing nightmare in term of privacy and security as well. Funny thing though there is nothing about Huawei whatsoever.
Make your research on infisec sites if you're willing to known instead to believe in concepts that makes you feel comfortable.
Facebook's business model is well known so is Google's. If you care about privacy you are using FOSS F-droid, Matrix, locki chain or Briar anyway.
If I had no choice but to use WhatsApp or Telegram without any doubts I would choose Signal (I'm joking, but it makes sense).
Telegram's Secret Chat all the way, Telegram's business model is very different to FB or Google,
as of now (I can't see the future), they don't share my data with the whole f..ing wold!

I'm running only one WhatsApp account...now I'm interested in deleting my account soon because of it's new terms and conditions... many users don't know that Google and Twitter are sharing the user data for Advertisements...Big companies like Microsoft, Apple and Google including Mobile APPs are all collecting user data and doing advertising business... there's nothing new about to talk... there's nothing new about robbing the user info... 😜🤪😜

[deleted post]While Signal isn't as good as some people made up to be, but Telegram, if not worse, it definitely NOT better.
- The server, which is the important part, isn't open-sourced, nor it being audited
- Because the company behind isn't Facebook, nobody attempts to watch and regulate as much, thus it much more vulnerable
- Telegram suffer much more occasion on service down time
- The API and 3rd party clients App riddles even more issues
- Way way lower user base

Whoever thought WhatsApp wasn't sharing data previously are retarded... I was forced onto WhatsApp the first place by those type of people, now I'm actually reluctant to move - till the next majority platform, basically a real WhatsApp contender/replacement (not alternatives) comes.
I found previously already jogging between too many different communications tools, it simply too bothersome to have 4-5 of them to cater different groups, while WhatsApp alone, can do it all.

This article is in total discordance with what gsmarena wrote back when WhatsApp announced the new privacy policy:
“Some of the info WhatsApp is collecting and will be sharing includes location data, IP addresses, phone model, OS, battery level, signal strength, browser, mobile network, ISP, language, time zone, and even IMEI. There’s also the information about how you are messaging, calling, what groups you are attending, the Status, the profile photo, last time the you were online, etc.”
Very strange indeed. I’m not buying this article.
