I left Facebook but it doesn't have a delete account option yet. Soon I'll delete Instagram and WhatsApp too. Very soon.

I don't want to post links in here, but you will easily find it.
Not saying that Telegram is worse than Whatsapp, because is not (at least at data collecting). But it's not that great either when it comes to end-to-end encryption. Individual chats are not by default encrypted in Telegram. So basically any Telegram employee with enough permission can view any message. Or the authorities if they ask for it, etc. If you want to have encrypted messages in Telegram you need to manually do it by Secret chat.
Anyway, bottom line is that both Telegram and Whatsapp are bad if you truly value privacy. The only app good at this is Signal. But, is less known, and also very simplistic. I think just recently they added some sort of emojis for the messages.

Doesn't matter as I have removed Whatsapp, Instagram and Facebook messenger. In short all apps owned by Mr. Zuckerberg

Why don't you mention other chat services like signal? As most users switched to it.

I just delete my whatsapp years ago. Cambridge was nothing new because in America only there are more than 7 companies harvesting data from Facebook (one has a cia flag ) . Facebook, whatsapp are just the DARPA lifelog of you all the USERS using it.
People saying I have nothing to hide but you have. Only mention you working on a bank on a specific job can invite criminals to reach out and asking you for data. The data these criminals using are from other users of social media. Maybe the only have e-mail but they needed to know the adress so the reach out before you know the are in your house, at your door and your work.
I have thousand and thousand of cases people are damaged by social media only to show off a picture of there collection or car and the only thing was there account and how they track down the adress. Also these days beware of your kids, familiy social media can destroy lives and it does.
Saying that never share pictures and use social media with codes and better protection, one that is not in America but in the EU where privacy is more protected and good apps are paid apps like Threema (swiss) or BBMe (scandinavia) but don't use Telegram these guys admit they in bed with Russia and Signal is allowing thirth parties to use the app but it al least saver to use then Facebook.
Threema is a few bucks and BBMe 2 beers a years

i don have facebook anyway whatever that means these days..as for whatsapp rarely use it cuz i use viber mostly.
