Dump WhatsApp, join telegram, or signal. this is how we can teach a lesson to the company that doesn't care about privacy

rather than keeps my privacy secret from company like facebook or google or microsoft, i'd choose to keep my privacy secret from people around me or people on the internet 😂 there is always a trending topics about people's privacy over the internet and people just bullying each others with never ending cursed words, lol.

Its not that simple,as author write here.Im not using Facebook, and stopped using Whats App,for same reason i dont use Facebook. Its not about are they read my messages or not(anyway any app you install on your smartphone is doing many things in background),its about that they literally blackmail us,by telling us "accept this or go",and i decided i will go(there is a lot options there).I stopped also use Twitter recently, becouse of their censorship, about particular things. Its funny how easy people accept to be manipulated, its enough some company to say"no we dont do that,we respect your privacy",and people will accept that with easy.

Just use Signal, it is more private and secure.

                Ah, typical mark zingerburger things.

This article is in total discordance with what gamarena wrote back when WhatsApp announced the new privacy policy:

“Some of the info WhatsApp is collecting and will be sharing includes location data, IP addresses, phone model, OS, battery level, signal strength, browser, mobile network, ISP, language, time zone, and even IMEI. There’s also the information about how you are messaging, calling, what groups you are attending, the Status, the profile photo, last time the you were online, etc.”

Very strange indeed. I’m not buying this.

Whatsapp is technically a spyware but with users' consent.

I prefer Telegram, at least it is in the EU and they are very aggressive with GDPR.

Signal is from US, and we know from people like FB and google, they are not very keen with privacy laws.

telegram is the hub of piracy and p*rn 😑
i will not support something like that.

Just one more of many reasons to switch to Signal or something likewise as long it's open source and independent.

If only Indian Government encouraged people to delete WhatsApp and Remove UPI from Whatsapp not would be great.

With massive influence they are not doing anything.

For me, I'll just personally keep using Telegram since it is a much more viable alternative than WhatsApp. Sure that it doesn't have the same privacy level as Signal, but it does have just about every feature from WhatsApp with some notable features that don't even exist on WhatsApp at all. But unfortunately, I have to keep using WhatsApp because all my friends and families only prefer to use WhatsApp. Heck, even online businesses heavily relying on Facebook services.
