There are quit the same in operation now.IOS can run Java game on Safari at the time that Android is originally allowed this running .
In conclusion : IOS and Android , we can benefit it the same if we know how to control on OS . you are so right ..

the only problem with iOS is the screen size is so small ! browsing is annoying on iphones while its a pleasing experience on 4.5"+ Androids

And we all know that thats true. So where's the misleading you're talking about? Yes, Android has more models and manufacturers, but that's not their problem, Apple can do that, but they just wont.

There is of course an overlap in between where they could go either way.

1. its opens... moreAndorid will grow and may catch up to 75% market share. Android phones are made by most of the leading handset manufacturers, so that adds up to this OS' popularity. Yes it is opensourse but its controlled by google! so its not completely open in that sense! Opensourse OS projects will not succeed in mobile markets as it needs manufacuters' support which is impossible.
IOS is like u have bought a luxurious jail! No memory expansion, no filemanagement, even adding or removing music is really painfull. Its for those who wanna show off. Still i like its quality hardware and silky smooth OS.

1. who thinks android has no flash anymore... why dont you google it? Chip.de offers flash with a link to install over play store.
2. how is the iphone5 bringing iOS back? Does offer something new, something better than anywhere else? Guess not and do you know why? Because a Smartphone will never be able to do more with its processing power, than what a normal computer can do. All those new app types, are rubbish, because you have everything. I admit, for some time it was like there were iPhone exclusive apps for stuff you bought, but now everything also supports Android, so no adavantage here. Apps are no adavtage anymore of iOS... Only thing with iOS was, that it was more or less fluid, that is all and wont matter anymore after project butter release.
