After looking at the new iPhone's design in blog "http://blog.gsmarena.com/apple-iphone-5-spotted-sitting-next-to-a-3000-metal-case/", wondering what's new in the design and feel of the new iPhone? Other than the 4.0” diagonal screen this phone may have… there’s nothing new to see! I guess iFans and iLovers will still call it innovation! Looking at the increasing number of iHaters, Apple Inc should have had a new design to compete in the market now… they must really come with something strong inside to beat the market of Android or most anticipated WP8…

Comparing all the softwares on the market and what they can do,it's obvious that android is the most feature-rich OS of them all.And now it became just as fast as iOS with jelly bean.

Man we need another Open Source OS. Jolla NEEDS to hurry up and bring MeeGo to the forefront.
We, the consumers, should not be stuck with Android as the only option if we want Open Source. There needs to be at least 4 Major OS' in the Smartphone competition just in case someone doesn't want or like Android, WP or iOS.
2 Major Open Source and 2 Major Closed Source.

kumardeepkachwal, 11 Sep 2012Android is popular and always will be because 1. its opens... moreThese statistics are so misleading it's unbelievable. How many phones use android? Hundreds. How many use iOS? Less than 10 (different models). No wonder android has more.

After using an iPhone for more than a year and 2 months (I had iPhone 4 then iPhone 4s), I made the switch to a Samsung galaxy note (ICS), mainly for the gigantic screen that I do need and prefer. Now, I have been using the note for about 5 months, I can confidently confirm that android is the superior platform for the following reasons:
- Swipe keyboard is actually a big thing missing in ios, its a lot faster and more convenient, chatting on whatapp and facebook is fun and faster
- Social media integration is light years ahead of ios, this really makes sharing photos significantly more convenient than with ios
- It’s a lot easier to transfer music as drag drop and play is way more convenient than the frustrating and complicated iTunes
- Android is equally as easy to use and straight forward as ios, and sometimes its even easier (really, give an iphone to somebody who’s new to apple, ask them to use emotions while chatting on whatsapp without getting any help, wait for an eternity till they figure out they have to add emoji keyboard). In android, there is a big emotions button in the chat window
- Bluetooth file sharing, this is very convenient and comes in handy and not having that in iphone is stupid, as the hardware is already there! I know that you can share files with 3/4g but not everybody has an unlimited data package,
- Android is as smooth and as stable as ios.. the phone would get stuck sometimes and require a restart but that happens as often as it used to on the iphone 4s
- Maps can be saved for offline use, as I travel allot and go to different cities, this is was very useful to me
- there are no (USEFULL) apps that I actually USED on iphone that I couldn’t get on my android, however that being said, it is true that apps tend to be more polished on ios
- quick toggle switches and the slide to adjust brightness in abdroid’s notification center and bar,, adjusting settings on the fly instead of going though many pages in ios
- although I agree that widgets look ugly and are a waste of resources, I find it useful having a big weather widget and a dual time clock.. widgets really are very useful and should be left to the user to decide weather to have them or not
- As a bonus for having android, you get scrolling wallpaper and live wallpaper.

Anonymous, 11 Sep 2012IOS will come back very strong with IP5, Window 8 will bite... moreI beg to differ. Android will probably continue to grow @ iOS and WP8 expense. If flash itself is sufficient to handicap android, iOS would already been extinct.

Looking at the graph, Blackberry is definatelly gettish crushed by other(wp+bada) and android, like in a vice :D
iOs is also getting squeezed in the vice, but still hanging on. Probably gonna fight bakc a little with the arrival of iphone 5 , but after a few months it's back to the squeezing and posibly crushing.
Other(wp+bada) might expand a bit, but probably it's gonna take shares from blackberry and iSO instead of android.

kumardeepkachwal, 11 Sep 2012Android is popular and always will be because
1. its opens... moreYes it is popular now but doesn't mean "it will always be".
Over a decade ago, the very meaning of "handheld" was defined by Palm and Windows CE.
Then it was BlackBerry in the mid-2000s.
During 2007-2009 it was iOS.
Post 2010 until now, it's Android.
Who knows what the future will bring?

I don't know... I think Android being Android will probably be on top for a long time to come. Technically their are too many things going for it.
I think the real battle is between iOS and the soon to be release WP8. WP8 is looking mighty fine right about now and as it stands is technically superior to iOS in just about every way. Actually, unlike iOS from a technical standpoint, WP8 is actually starting to look like a real contender against even the likes of Android.
Still has some ways to go but again, technically speaking, as I said before, its already head and shoulders above iOS. That's a fact...
