Wich Android brand is best on updating older phones? My P20 Pro is still a great phone, but is (already) to old to recieve the latest software update due to incompatibility.

Matt James Paradise, 23 Feb 2021Most people can't make a phone last 4 years.I see many of my friends have phones as old as 4 years. Yeah, some kept their old phone as backup but they are usable. I have a iphone 6s plus running well, a G flex 2 still running, even a htc wildfire which is very slow but alive. I am no exception, one of many.

All Nokia Android One models get 2 + 1 update so kudos to Samsung to add more support.

yalim, 22 Feb 2021my S9 is from 2018 and I still get security updates.3 years... moreIt still is. All Galaxy S flagships get 3 years of monthly security updates then on the 4th year it goes to quarterly. So simply put, you can use your phone up to 5 years if the battery is still capable.

A-M, 22 Feb 2021My Galaxy A10e is still waiting for Android 10! That would... moreRead the article again. Only the A5x and A7x series from A51/71 get 3 Android updates. All other A models get 2. Still better than other brands that won't even give a damn update to their devices, only caring for profits.

Definitely a plus and step in right direction. (Timely!) security updates are a lot more important from functional viewpoint. And a lot less likely to make your old chipset lag.
