Samsung commits to 4 years of updates for its 2019 and later smartphones

The new policy includes the Z, S, Note, A, M, XCover and Tab series.

    For A,S,Note and z flip 3 years of OS update and 4 years of security update it's quite impressive if you consider how many models are there

      Sure makes the other OEMs look bad though.

        yalim, 22 Feb 2021my S9 is from 2018 and I still get security updates.3 years... moreSame for my Note8, 2017 phone and still getting updates, now on a quarterly basis. Hence even my Note FE is getting quarterly updates since some time.

                I just updated my A10 with the March security update and after it was done there was a junkware that got installed along with the update. STOP DOING THIS SAMSUNG. UNFORGIVABLE

                  Old hardware . Even with latest update they are slow compare to new models . Phones 3 or 4 years are already old no matter latest update .

                                      Planned obsolescence is a thing. Smartphone makers don't always push updates to make things better for people holding on to their older phones. Apple openly admitted to slowing down their older phones through software updates.

                                      Not everyone has the time or ability to complain to the vendor to fix the issues. And even if they complain, there's no guarantee the vendor would fix it.

                                      You should've stuck to the comments section for iPhones. Why did you have to poke your nose in a Samsung article section?
