There's a big difference in exynos isp and snapdragon isp you can watch mrwhostheboss video and see that photos taken on the galaxy s21 ultra with sd888 are way better than photos taken on the exynos version, the exynos version kinda sucks to be honest

I am glad I did not buy my wife a newer S. Maybe next year Samsung's new sensor will do better.

As pointed by other readers here, the samples of the review are worse than s20 ultra.

Compare them to those from mi11 , phone with similar sensor for main camera, the difference is too big in favor of xiaomi.
            Looks like a $1000 phones against a $150 one.

AnonD-762416, 01 Mar 2021The conclusions at DxOMark are getting extremely subjective... moreHer umbrella and her jacket lost their colors on the Huawei and iPhone, compared to the Samsung, so I guess that's what they mean by low saturation?
It might be caused by the sun flare but I don't know much about photography.

Video and zoomwise, S21 Ultra is clearly much better than S20 Ultra.

SamsungRules, 01 Mar 2021Who cares about dxomark, another Samsung hate stuffed webs... moreThe conclusions at DxOMark are getting extremely subjective, which makes it "another random review site". For instance, the girl sitting in the chair with an umbrella. The Samsung pulls towards magenta while both the Huawei and iPhone gets EXTREMELY green, and they call this "low saturation", because they don't want to see this.

The point is: If they want to be considered professional in some way, they should use a professional camera with verified image quality and processing as a reference point. Not other phones with their own flaws.

They'll have to amend 5heir review some after the recent update and ones coming out. Doing this within a month of release is stupid, for any phone

SamsungRules, 01 Mar 2021Who cares about dxomark, another Samsung hate stuffed webs... moreReminder that GSMArena also criticized the S21U camera.
Anandtech also tested after some updates and said the same thing, at times it's worse than the Note20U or the S21 non ultra line.

Every year (or every new launch) is the same story, Samsung releases it's new top phone and there are regressions on the camera IQ. It's always less worse on the Note line because they use the same camera from the S line as a base. The S suffer more because they change the camera and have to redo the software, something that they never are able to do in time, so the customer have to wait patiently for the camera to be fixed bit by bit in the next six months or more. But this time they outdid themselves.
You don't need to read the criminally flawed DxO reviews, you just need to look the samples here in the old trusty GSMArena. The photos aren't good. The photos are only good if watched on the tiny phone screen, but if you're paying more than 1000 bucks for a phone specifically because of the camera than just should expect more than this, if not, why botter? Just buy a phone what costs a quarter of the price, you'll get the same and at times better results.
But again, Samsung outdid themselves this time, the flaws are obvious even in the tiny phone screen. The camera division there is completely lost, because even if they fix all the problems they'll still insist on that garbage processing.
