MichaelD, 03 Mar 2021Bad decision. Because of price segment of Redmi Note series... moreWhy 🤣 such a stupid . Why will it say that it will be the Brightest in redmi note series? The note 9 pro has a peak of 600 nits. So it may be offering a 1000 nits. So if that bright it will use the E3 samsung OLED panel. Right so why is it cheap?

So what warrants such excitement about using a display that many others have already released (Realme, Oppo, Samsung)? What corners will be cut to keep the device price low?

MichaelD, 03 Mar 2021Bad decision. Because of price segment of Redmi Note series... moreThe Redmi 10X 5G is about the same price and using Samsung E3 AMOLED. And that phone was launched 1 year ago, so the price for E3 must has gone down to enabled for fitting on the Redmi Note 10 series. Another clue is if the panel is not from Samsung, Xiaomi will refer it as OLED. Xiaomi listed the Mi 10 Ultra with BOE display as using OLED in the spec list.

Anonymous, 02 Mar 2021Personally speaking LCD or Amoled makes no difference to me... moreHave you seen an OLED. OLED with dark mode is 1000 times better than any LED. OLED 60Hz is way better than LCD 144Hz. The only time 144Hz is useful is while scrolling as most games either don’t support high refresh rate or the GPU is not strong enough.

This is great. Amoled technology trickling down to budget phones. I don't think there will be an indisplay fingerprint reader at the price point but still great nevertheless. It really does further blur the line between budget and flagship phones.

React 2 Gadgets YT, 03 Mar 2021The pro, not the pro maxThey have not confirmed what it is, but it does not make sense that the pro has it and not the pro max, I suppose it will be:
Note 10 Amoled
Note 10 Pro Amoled 90Hz or LCD 120Hz
Note 10 Pro Max Amoled 120Hz

Bad decision. Because of price segment of Redmi Note series it surely will be lowest quality AMOLED displays on them. For the same price they could use high quality LCD.

Personally speaking LCD or Amoled makes no difference to me, but 60Hz is a tough pill to swallow in 2021.
I'd take 120Hz, even 90Hz LCD over 60Hz amoled any day of the week - while both LCD and OLED have their advantages, a high refresh screen makes the phone feel like entirely different price segment.

I'm rocking oled atm and if you are not addicted to vibrant colors it really is not that interesting. Longer battery life is nice, but apart from better contrast it even looks as if the sharpness was lower due to the weird pixel/subpixel spacing.
Just my opinion, but I will not buy another oled, especially in a product for work.
keep in mind i used to be a big fan of the samsung oleds back in 2013, but now with higher res they just don't look as good

InternetUser, 02 Mar 2021It seems Android 12 isn't confirmed for POCO X3 NFC.I've seen a few reports of Android 11 and miui12.5 being tested for Poco X3 NFC so I do think it will get Android 11. After that who knows it's my first Poco/Xiaomi phone so don't know what they like at updates but got February security patch and on 12.08 so pretty good so far

AnonD-986504, 02 Mar 2021I hope these phones are under or around 15000 INR otherwise... moreAh sure, you might also HOPE a 108 mp camera, 256 GB UFS 3.1 storage and 8GB RAM all for under Rs 15000 and that too with initial further discount of 25% until you buy it... right?
