Galaxy S21 sales take series to four-year high

I'm a Samsung user and fan, but the S21 lineup is very disappointing to me because it doesn't have the SD card slot. I'd rather buy the Note 20 Ultra or S20 FE 5G instead.
Who knows, I might go back to Sony which has 4K display, 3.5mm jack and the SD card slot!

One more thing to say is, in my world a company is greedy if the remove a charger form the box, this kind of things i really don't like. A always Apple and Samsung is first doing this kind of shi. 👎🏻

And I am not a fan of Samsung, I like Sony. Xiaomi may produce one good model, but the whole production is far below Samsung. And they are not that cheap anymore.

Glass is bad if you're butterfingered and you're dropping phone all over the place. Plastic is terrible even if you care about your phone more than for your child. Plastic, no matter how careful you are, it'll get all scratched and worn out even if all you do is put it in and out of pocket and carefully place it on desk. Especially since all phones have fancy rainbow backs. Just give me solid black or solid white plastic. Even if you make a massive scratch on those, it's just more of the same color plastic underneath and it'll be barely visible. Then, I kinda wouldn't have issues with it. Though I have an issue with plastic back on a +700€ phone as it is. If EVERYONE can make glass phones in this price point, it's clear that Samsung didn't do it for the benefit of user, but only for benefit of their margins. And everyone here is defending this greedy practice with "yeah but plastic is great". No it bloody isn't on such expensive phone. Never.

Now this is fishy, the S10 line did worse than S21? They brought punchole displays and huge camera upgrades while the only thing the S21 line beought was more reasonable pricing and a 3x telephote lens for the S21 U

The S21 is practically unrivaled if you value privacy over lower priced competition (not to say Samsung is perfect though).

first thing's first. vanilla s21 has no rivals in android territory as a compact flagship. that is a good start. plastic back is no big deal since phones are always in protective cases.

[deleted post]I bought the S21 bcs finally Exynos is on par if not better than SD. Plastic is fine, cloud and streaming is my friend since 2015 (thanks to iPhone 5 16GB),
The reason i chose S21 is because is the smallest flagship android available to buy. About to go with Mini, but compared to S21, especially with pre order deal, it's just no make sense to buy Mini (same price with 64GB vs 256GB i got on S21), not to mention camera, and better feature.
Another reason is S21 is the only available device that got 3 major android upgrade.
And again, with PO deal, i think i don't lose anything here.

But yes, I agree with the entire paragraph whole-heartedly. Part of being in this tech know-how is the ability to discern which features you need and which are simply blown out of proportion.

[deleted post]Real "tech" people don't have problem with Galaxy S21 and its specs. The only people, who have some problem with it, are the "super-trendy-all-max-spec-and-ultra-cheap" weirdos, who always think (and talk and write) that the phone must always have only top features. They grumble about plastic back, demanding only glass (who cares that glass is easy to crush). They grumble about cameras, demanding top resolutions and maximum zoom (not thinking about real image quality). They grumble about chipset being two points slower in Antutu... and so on. And despite their stupid grumbling, Samsung is still number one.

Look forward to a future of much worse value for money as manufacturers strip as many features as they can get away with while maintaining high prices.
