I would realy like to know what gsmarena use to get their info on device release dates,, what it is it, the last place on the planet to ever get one ?
Their idea of phone history appears to have been warped, they seem to gain a year for certain makes, lose a year for others, like they reckon Samsung omnia HD not out until 2009 !! By mid 2009,my daughter had already destroyed 2 of of them.. Gsmarena should use from when devices first available anywhere on planet, because that's what folk like to do, we buy/import devices asap, at high prices, same as I've not had a contract phone since 2006

this is what i love, every brand racing for the development who is first.

Hello Life, 07 Mar 2021see a trend.. no apple phone on this list.. yet they shoot ... moreThat's because they wait for the new technologies to mature and only then they start implementing it. It works flawlessly once they finally do it.
Kinda explains why they didn't go with HRR screens last year as they waited for LTPO technology to mature and they'll implement it from this year on.

see a trend.. no apple phone on this list.. yet they shoot the best videos

OIS should be a standard for video.

ae86, 07 Mar 2021You can only say something is revolutionary when all the ot... moreNot quite. It can be specific to your products only and still be revolutionary if it adds special functionality that everyone wants from then on. By your metric, Apple's removal of headphone jack was "revolutionary" since everyone copied it, yet most people don't really like it.

Revolutionary is for example ZTE's underdisplay selfie camera. It's rather crap, but the fact it does something no one else has ever done gives it the "revolutionary" status. Even more so given it's something everyone would like to have, but no one was able to deliver it yet. The fact it's terrible now doesn't change the fact it's still revolutionary just because it's so unique and special. One might say whoever does it again, but achieves nearly same quality of photos as exposed selfie cameras, they'll also snap the "revolutionary" status. Apple is often like that. They aren't among the first to do it, but they are often the first to do it right. Which is something people often dismiss while they are salivating over weird quirky features, but casual users want the reliability and usability, not something super exotic. ZTE has the edge of being first, lets see if they'll also be the first to perfect it.

Revolutionary or the race of becoming first. Especially in this era where they're all doing same thing but there's one ~ two companies who just wants to be first

                    here comes huawei

React 2 Gadgets YT, 07 Mar 2021Where is Huawei's Achievement? 1. Puting periscope ... moreYou can only say something is revolutionary when all the others have adopted that 'innovations' to their products.

While (I think) half of the things you've mentioned are pretty much rare in smartphone industry not really that rare but rare enough to be called not-revolutionary.
