If the 8 series (especially the Mini) doesn't have the flip-up camera I will be so dissapointed. I didn't buy Pixel 5 only because I wanted to wait for the Zenfone Mini to arrive on a small size with that flip-up camera. So sad ;(

Not just for small hands, but for people who have laptops/tablets with lte etc and don't consume stuff on cell phone screens.Not sure who needs that much screen for emails, texts and calls. Outside of gaming or being a young person that can't access a better device to watch a movie, not sure who these phones target. I never see corporate folks work on cells...
I know adults consume stuff on phones while commuting etc, but I don't know of annyone who would use it over their surfce pro, laptop or desktop outside of being on a train or bus.

Very exciting news, let's be in hope that Asus will bring back the headphone jack, the highend sound dac, and retain the SD memory card slot on the mini 5'9. Or any of the three versions of the ZenFone.

Basically the same camera setup as last year which is a little disappointing.
Their main camera needs an upgrade. I can understand the IMX 686 on the gaming focused ROG series. But for their regular flagship, they need to upgrade their main camera sensor.
That being said, the IMX 686 is perfectly capable of destroying the Pixel and iPhone 12 pro Max. No wonder it won mkbhd blind test, beating so many good camera phones from 2020.
