Hopefully they come to North America. I really wanted to Zenfone 7 pro

    5.9" is not Mini enough to me. I expect to see around 5.6" or 5.7" though.

      Finally a sub 6" phone, can't wait for it, if priced right, finally a perfect replacement for my 5 year old Moto X Play

          I bought ASUS ZENFONE MAX PRO M2 one year back and till date asus have not updated its OS to android 10 ! ? It doesn't have an inbuilt call recording facility, which is a common thing in Samsung phones. If you use the call recording app, it warns that your phone might get damaged.
          So why should i/anyone go for this asus zenfone 8.

              If the mini has atleast 4000mAh battery then it will sell like hotcake. Battery was the main reason the iPhone12 mini failed.

                I despise Asus like I do with HTC. Only had bad experiences with both of them. I avoid Taiwanese. But that does feel like a bummer the Mini won't have the flip up camera.

                  Finally perfect compact size flagship for me. I hope its gonna use side punch hole selfie camera instead of that flip rear camera. The battery maybe around 3700mah but if it comes with fast charging 30wat above I'll be more than happy.

                    Won't be long when Asus Zenfone will go bankrupt like HTC... They only released ZF6 and ZF7 in limited countries so expect ZF8 be released to selected countries only plus Asus software update support is really bad and inconsistent. I'm a long time user of ZF2 and ZF5 but i decided i will never buy another Asus again and move to different brand.

                      If the mini is light weight, has premium cameras, quick shooters and at least a 4000mah battery, I'm in. Although, I wonder what Asus' Android OS Upgrade and Monthly Security Update track record is like? Samsung is offering 4 years of Android OS support nowadays.

                        I hope that the rumors are wrong and that the Zenfone flagship will retain the flip-up camera... it's the only reason why I'm excited for it.
                        Does anyone know when it could come out? Will we have to wait until August or could it come out earlier than last year's model?

It saves battery so I'm not going to use the higher resolution anyways. Do you honestly see the difference on a small phone screen?

I only bought the Zenfone 7 Pro because of both the flip-up camera and the display without any notch. The flip-up camera is genius, so many good use applications. If the Zenfone 8 Pro won't have the flip-up camera anymore I will be sooo disappointed and buy something else instead. The Zenfone flagship / all Zenfones should have the flip-up camera, it feels like a defining Zenfone feature at this point, and it's a mostly unique selling argument.

                              Hope they atleast upgrade the resolution to QHD+ or QHD or something. ROG has HRR display and this one will have High Resolution.
