A well balanced mid-range phone the A52 is... Even though for me a bit large in size, I like smaller phones. But still going to buy this one.

K98VLAD, 21 Mar 2021thats why i like only the 800 series, real performance, no ... more And 888 needs 6000mah battery and super duper cooling.

Sure, there needs to be cpu like it, but it's really not the most practical thing and not for everyone. It's like a 1500hp car for everyday driving.

Anders, 21 Mar 2021I'm not buying a 4G phone again. It's already out... more"I don't know why Samsung have released 4G versions of these phones"

You're casually saying this as if the world rotated just for you. As if it were consisted of just your area and having the same conditions over every inch of the world.

Samsung releases this phone globally, not just the developed first-world countries like USA and Europe. They also sell the phones to other countries, and the fact is, many countries don't have 5G yet.

In this very article's comment section, you'll find a German person commenting that their area barely gets 4G coverage, and this is in freaking Germany, a developed country! That person says that they don't bother with 5G. Now imagine folks in less developed countries or areas, for those folks, they are lucky if they can connect to the internet at all, regardless of whatever-G! If 4G isn't even optimal yet, why bother with 5G?

You might be a member of the church of never-ending progress, but not every inch of the world progresses at the same pace.

Neph, 21 Mar 2021I'm not getting Samsung's logic. On February, the... moreI'm also amused with "flagships" being mid-rangers with some features cut just to insert a more powerful SoC and some experimental features, at double-triple the price. I also expected flagship models to be "it has it ALL and then some!" models at their price point, but large corporations have decided otherwise. Cut here, cut there, save money and BAM - charge extra! Okay, their loss, I'm not a sheep to be fleeced. I'll go pick up a cheaper handset, and if it doesn't work as well as S7 did, I'll just pick Xiaomi next time I upgrade.

I was hoping to see LG V70 to be that next big thing but it seems unlikely now - it seems LG plans to sell its mobile business... for whatever reason.

AnonD-989007, 21 Mar 2021True, if people would hold on to their phones for more than... moreLong time software support means higher resale value for longer time.

IP rating would increase the price of the phone by 20-30% according to Xiaomi’s co-founder Lei Jun

No matter what you and I want depends on retailers and Telekom providers, if they will not get the version that you want in your country it's useless!
Most of the time i personally don't find what i need, example S20 fe 8GB RAM never sold in my country, and it's very hard to find in Europe, like this example I'm sure the most powerful variants of this phones will not come to Europe and the prices are a bit stip for this days of pandemic!

Anders, 21 Mar 2021I'm not buying a 4G phone again. It's already out... moreMy country will only start 5G implementation in 2023, expect mahor City to have 5G in 2025 & suburban area by 2027, probably country wide by 2030, in fact we still didn't get full 4G coverage after 7 years of implementation... lol

So a 4G phone make lots of sense, unless one buy a 5G phone & expect it to last 5-7 years

Anders, 21 Mar 2021I'm not buying a 4G phone again. It's already out... moreIt's for those who want real value for money and not some gimmicks like benchmark scores or 5G (What will you need it for? Speedtests?). In my country we have up to 0.5gbps on 4G. Why would i need 5G only to have my battery drained faster?

Too big, too expensive, and only the 5G version is currently offered on samsung canada's website. But I'm mostly disappointed by the price.

I'm not buying a 4G phone again. It's already outdated tech. I don't know why Samsung have released 4G versions of these phones

-Batterh is old (You do know it degrades not only when you're using it, right?)
                                      -No 3.5 mm jack
                                      -Abysmal batteries
-Prices still much higher, unless yor' retalking about the "almost flagships" which has two more disadvantages:
                                      -small screens
                                      -No proper zoom.

But gpu wise they lag behind, even sd 835 from 2017 has better gpu than majority of 7xx series, adreno 540 beat Adreno 619 in many benchmarks.
