Planning to buy Chinese ver. & This is a good news ... Nice & hope they dont restrict the 4g & 5g bands and stay unlocked as global ver.

Barry Egan, 22 Mar 2021this is it , bbk officially killed oneplus.Having one version of OS helps speeding up updates instead of having to wait for ages as they have to redesign bunch of variants. Given how BBK owns bunch of brands, it's really silly to have bunch of different versions. Even just renaming them is unnecessary work, even if everything else is the same. So, in a way it makes sense to just migrate everthing to ColorOS.

I hope the global version will use Color Os, as Color OS is the best android software right now, beating even OxygenOS, One Ui, and MIUI in :
1. Fluidness
2. Customization
3. Features
4. Animations for 120hz
Right now, it needs one thing to be perfect, 3 - 5 years of software updates. Right now ColorOs phones only have 2 years of updates and 3 years of security updates. Even MKBHD and Mrwhosetheboss likes ColorOs more than OxygenOS Right now.

It would be great if GSMArena could do a comparison between the various flavours of Android. I think this is one of the aspects which does not get enough attention.
