They should go all out and release one best phone that they can provide with all the best tech out there. They gt nothing to lose anyway instead of release bunch of mediocre phones that no one like.

Maybe it's their marketing at fault. They are so quiet about it I didn't even know LG Velvet is actually pretty decent device. Which I only found out after all the talks of LG shutting down and me checking what they even offer currently...

Ah, now i really am forced to buy the Wing as their last fruit of labour and innovation... How good i still treasure my G4 while its 6 years old and fully functional and preserved. My V30 will be staying with me forever as well... Wish i could get a V60 and Wing, but V60 is not even available anywhere, and it has everything i want and need on a phone after my V30... I trully hope they would released smth great as V70 and Rollable, and then shut down, so we at least have smth great from them as the last thing for the future.. RIP LG, you will always be loved by people who respected and knew your effort and greatness.

There is still chance but LG is not working on the right formula for sales. LG should launch high specs low price value for money phones with thin margins like Chinese phones manufacturers. LG should also work on digital and online marketing of their products. That should help them gain significant market share with less operating cost in any country and that in turn, will fetch them good money in case they decide to sell the mobile division.

They should just scale down. And restructure the division.

Those Chinese brands will not thrive forever.

Worst phones I have ever tried , including the Nexus ones.

I wish they come back and concentrate on only two phones a year, one high-end like the V series and the other one can be some mid-range phone.
Along with that, they should do good marketing.

They have so nice phones and general people aren't aware of the features. Rather other companies adopt their features and market and sell their products. Eg: wide angle camera.

Anonymous, 22 Mar 2021So basically you are rooting for less competition and choic... moreno one rooting for less competition.
but.... a weak (sick) competition like this will bring no good.
                      LG were literally loosing money.
They already try for a couple of years.
Let them shine in the place they were good.

Sell it to me I have 10 bitcoins, which has potential to go up 10-20x more.

there are many things to love about this brand...
cannot share the same feelings with those having bootloop stigma since my lg g4 is still working fine...
and last year, i bought v50s for its dual screen capability...
despite the design of their normal phones are similar to all others (some i dont like, like the notch) internally, they are incomparable - especially the audio side (great for flac files but i prefer xperias for ordinary music files)... they are also brave enough to introduce well though design cues - one thing i love about the curve g4 (though the g flex is the best with such design) the power buttons and volume rocker at the back is intuitive...
recently, i love how i can do my job on a dual screen, that even the multiwindow on xperia fell short, it is really different...
then the lg wing, the hype that i feel on it subsides a bit but i am still eyeing for a used one on the graymarket...
lg and sony are my favorites, for their unorthodox decisions (yet traditional, now that is irony), include nokia, but they seem to be looking and feeling like the other phones right now, making somebody to just compare the specsheet because it doesnt offer unique features among the crowd...

                            This is some real 💩.

All these other other brands that are safe get to survive meanwhile LG has to throw in the towel.

Samsung is supposed to be the mainstream high-end player (outside of china stuff). They don't see care though, they just want to go toe to toe with Apple by not offering MicroSD, headphone jack, interesting design choices, quad DAC... Meanwhile LG offers crazy stuff like that, pop up cameras, and caters to niches like Uber drivers/multitaskers/etc with the LG Wing go under.

4,7ms GtG high quality panels, good design and build quality, good main lens + telephoto + ultrawide + laser autofocus or ToF, stereo speakers, headphone jack, no drop notch, 4000mAh or more and min. 30W charging with an 870.

Sell that for 500€ and you'll be back in the market. Concurrence is kinda slow right now, especially in the 500€ price range, so now is the time...

man LG is a great brand they've made a couple of innovations which isn't mind-blowing but still their not blending in with the other companies they want their consumers to experience something new. if only they had a good marketing value proposition then they'd be succesful
