Anonymous, 26 Mar 2021That's not even true. That's like saying Samsung ... moreDevice cost 800 euro cant even compete those 300 euro dimensity. What logic is that, why cant they even afford the lastest architecture. Those are huge profits!

Anonymous, 26 Mar 2021No the dimensity 800 is just below the 750 and above Snapdr... moreLOL, 4 cortex A76 cores BELOW 2 A77 cores?
In what planet does it happen?
DUDE, Cortex A77 gain over A76 is small, only ~20-23% increase (based on data from wikichip)
So, IF 2cores Cortex A76 = 100%, 2 Cores Cortex A77= ~120-123%
Dimensity 800 have 4cores Cortex A76, so its 6cores A55 'magically' beat 2cores Cortex A76 + 4cores Cortex A55, 'because it's Qualcomm'?
I think u should attend elementary school back, DUDE...
Ur Math sucks

Anonymous, 26 Mar 2021not true, 765 trumps the others, as will 780. thanksFanboi at its finest, I see...
Why SD765 '765 trumps the others' but compared to lower SD7xx series, it's the LEAST popular?
SD780 will also follow SD765/768, better on paper, but unpopular, since Qualcomm 'refurbished' previous year(s) flagship SoC and sold it for cheap; no wonder SD750/765/768/780 will look like crap.
Even the 'old' SD860 would crushed SD780 in ANY benchmark (Geekbench, GFX, etc) since it was build to be 'future-proof' (4 Cortex A76 have serious punch; even the cheap Dimensity 800/820 unequal in mid-range SoC up till now, not even SD765 could come close to it in CPU performance)
If only people realize that SD7xx is Qualcomm's new cash cow...

Anonymous, 26 Mar 2021Qualcomm > MediaTek >> Kirin.
Dimensity 1000 are ... moreIt's not that Huawei 'insists ' using A76; they CAN'T get anything better since ARM is British company, de facto ally of US.
So when Trump bans Huawei, ALL things, including licensing newer reference ARM cores, become impossible.
They can't manufacture their own silicon, they can develop better SoC, they can't procure enough components for the upcoming smartphone, they can't even legally sell ANY of their products outside China.
See what happens to Huawei now?

Anonymous, 26 Mar 2021Qualcomm > MediaTek >> Kirin.
Dimensity 1000 are ... moreLOL, Cortex A57 is a big, performance cores.
If u put Cortex A77/A78 + Cortex A57, the battery'll run out of juice in half a day (unless it has 10,000mAh)
Not to mention the thermal output; if SD810 is bad, these A77/A78 + A57 will be DISASTER.
Qualcomm even go as far as designed their Original Custom ARM cores for SD82x because they don't want to work with A57, ever.
Since the introduction of A55, it looks like ARM is in slump; the introduction of A55 take quite some years (around 3 years), and since 2018, we're stuck with A55 (while the big cores already in the 3rd gen since A75)
