But there are technologies that can be applied to other products that come from mobile.
The 5G expertise from xperia is very important there.
The DSEE Ultimate is not even available for wh1000x4, just xperia has it so far.
If they had plans to leave, they would not bother creating stuff like Cinema Pro, Proto Pro, DSEE Ultimate, giving the 360 degree audio etc ..

I’ve had many smartphones from many high end manufacturers. The LG G7 ThinQ phone I have now is the best! Starting from the camera and ending by reliability in hardware and software. Will be really pity if LG is out from mobile producers. Actually LG phones are greatly underrated.

Phones fan, 01 Apr 2021Sony should learn from LG mistakes before it's too late.I truly hope that they will not exit the market because otherwise on Android, it'll be only Samsung, Huawei/Honor (Now RIP/kinda) and BBK through Oppo, Vivo, OnePlus, Realme and so on ... Well, time to switch to iOS then :/

Situation must be worst than we imagine.
Not even HTC plans to give up.
And I do not even know if HTC sells more than 100,000 phones per year.

LG is not fit for Smartphone market. However it is a super hit in electrical appliances section (TV, washing machine etc).

Phones fan, 01 Apr 2021Sony should learn from LG mistakes before it's too late.Why do you care? Are you Sony shares holder or something? Some things are more important than immediate profit and Sony seems to know it. Besides, we need companies like Sony around when people buy Samsung trash and are persuaded to be happy. :)

very sad to hear this, however, let's be honest, LG has nobody to blame but themselves, they made far too many mistakes and remained unfocused and fragmented with their mobile devices for years, exactly the same thing what Nokia is doing right now

LG could have done this at high quality level. Copying Samsung and Apple at a similar price point is a long term death sentence for all phone manufacturers.

In my country they already left in 2017 with the LG V30 (a copy of Samsung Galaxy S8) as their last model. No one bought it so it was sold out last year in an outlet for just 200 EUR.... It's sad because LG used to be the better Korean company.
