too bad LG. instead of copying everything apple and samsung does, you should have gone with a bit of common sense. G6 and V30 where outstanding phones, only changed my g6 last year with a pixel 5, as there where no comparable lg phones. specs isn't evrything, apple and samsung design isn't all there is there. excepting foldable phones, inovation is gone form the mobile market. afordability with repairability, mid range specs with a good screen and one or two good cameras would have changed everything for you. now, is up to sony (with their silly screen ratio) to hold the chinese phones and apple and samsung waves to hold for a little longer. too bad LG

LG, which makes the best TVs (OLED) hands down without a doubt, was the only hope for a real competition to Samsung in the mobile phone market! LG destroys Samsung with their fake QLED crap TVs, but in the phones it's the opposite! Samsung started using OLED long before LG or anybody else, and then topped it with the best cameras and now they are unbeatable! LG was late with OLED phone screens, and couldn't make good cameras and died - too bad! LG are so clueless, they don't have any OLED computer monitors, still!

Market is flooded with Chinese mediocre quality smartphones.
I miss the old Nokia, Sony Ericsson, Blackberry,
Other good brands also struggling like - motorola, sony,LG
We are also missing the full potential of Huawei...

Oh no!! I hope the board don't agree to it and there's someone there who will argue for a big cash investment. I love LG phones. I was going to buy the G10 for a family member but it didn't support all UK 4G bands. They've super nice looking phones and could be perfect for more than people give credit for if they knew about them, at least here in UK/Europe. I'll be sad if it finally kicks the bucket like HTC. I hate Chinese phones skins more than anything so choices of phones will be getting much more limited. Maybe LG could join Android One if it reduces software support costs. Please survive 😞

LG has pioneered some of the greatest technologies in smartphone division. They were the one who actually developed world's 1st 2K display panel for smartphones, Ultra Wide Angle lens and bigger apertures, Laser Autofocus, Quad DAC in Audio, Boombox speakers and most importantly, the removable dual screen display. They did not understand that software is equally important. Their mistakes were: Try to become Apple/Samsung without significant improvements on products for consumers, their pricing as well as naming strategies, same old design aesthetics, slower and cartoonish UI/skin on android, camera improvements on new iterations. Nonetheless, I still love LG as a smartphone brand and would prefer it over other chinese OEMs any given day except Huawei.

Even though I was never an LG fan, it is sad to see them gone. The market is over saturated with those cheap china brands, which I will never use, not to mention pay for one..
The only real brands left in the Android world are Samsung and Sony. But Samsung screwed things up again by removing the SD card slot, so my next phone will definitely be Sony's high-end flagship. Because SD card slot is more important than brand loyalty! Sorry Sammy!

For me LG is the perfect phone company especially the v50 that I still use has all that an android power user would want an excellent camera (no bump) an SD card slot an excellent display better than Samsung as it is POLED a Snapdragon 855 headphone jack with quad DAC a dual screen a desktop like Samsung Dex and many more. I can't believe people don't know about this perfect android phone
