Personally I went from the LCD to amoled and don't think I could go back now especially for movies and gaming, but ones preference to which they prefer is about as subjective as u can get

when u go with ur iphone5 in ur hand, for a walk, people around will not notice its screen quality but the defected ALUMINIUM (not 'cheap plastic') body!!

I always have said, from experience, the SGS3 screen is way behind iPhone 5 and ONE X. The SGS2 was great imo, had beautiful rich colours (not accurate but who cares looked terrific).
But, for me, the SGS3 just looks way too green/blue.. its heaps noticeable coming from any decent screen, not just iPhones.
This verdict does not surprise me at all. The SGS3 is bigger though and some people seem to love this.

I appreciate more natural colours. I can't stand OLED TV's for example. So if you want "the best" TV buy a plasma one (Pioneer was the best maker, now the only one left is Panasonic). Just compare a LCD, LED, OLED and (Panasonic) Plasma TV in a shop! For phone screens Amoled is acceptable, but I think iPhone 5 screen is the best, in my personal opinion.

Saturation on the GS3 looks so much better esp in gaming and colour-websites. Makes it an enjoyable experience, plus iphone 5 coming with dents out of the box LOL gf.

Why displaymate, keep calling it Iphone display? its a LG DISPLAY!
Both LG IPS and Samsung AMOLED display are the best on the market right now.
We don't need this comparison bullshit
Everyone who owns both IPS and AMOLED diplay knows that
IPS has good brightness and bad black levels with high power consumption.
while Samsung AMOLED has Perfect black levels and not that good brightness with low power consumption..
Both screen have goods and bads and they are manufactured and created by LG and Samsung!
So LG and Samsung wins and NOT Apple....

Super amoled has way higher contrast ratio and deepest black, not grey colours... Videos, games and pictures all look better. Why do they not take into account that is has other modes to effectively increase or decrease saturation?
