richard, 26 Sep 2012problem iphone still can't handle 1080p mkv.typical android users without brain! why do you wanna watch 1080p vid on 720p screen while you battery will die quick. I have 42 inch screen for movies and I don;t watch porn on my phone

amoled is known for better blacks - but ips is known for not being the best at that, and the iphone has ips...

Personally, I don't care what kind of display (IPS LCD or AMOLED). I'm not fans of any brand. I've been using the HTC One X for months, and recently brought the LG P800, both phones suppose to have the best screen, but I found that the Samsung GS3 AMOLED screen is the best to my eyes...I just fell so comfortable looking at it screen, which I do not find the same with my other two quad core phones, which is the reason that I finally brought the GS3! Four of my family members are using the GS3, and every time I play with their GS3, I just love the rich colour of the AMOLED phone! I'm using two phones now - the LG P800 & my newest GS3, and I just love the GS3 screen so much more, although I've a friend who prefer my P800 LCD screen more.
I used to hate Samsung - don't even like the sound of the "Samsung" name, but the GS3 is just amazing. I don't care which phone has a little bit faster loading speed, because in real life usage, as a user i can't tell much difference...those speed testing of the same grade phones are meaningless to me! The GS3 gives the nicest feel holding it, although I must admit I used to think that it looked ugly in pictures.
I even tried my friend's new iPhone 5, the screen is just normal - nice, but still can't compare to the GS3 AMOLED screen. Even though I placed an order for a Black iPhone 5, I still have to admit that my eyes prefer the AMOLED screen. Those Nokia Lumia AMOLED screens are also very nice.

If your girlfriend switched to iPhone 5 from iPhone 4 or 4S just for the sake of another ½”, you seriously do have a problem in you…
And if she chooses iPhone 5 over SGS3 or HOX1, then she seriously do have a problem in her! (with her brain of course)

So because the colors are more normal, and it gets brighter its the most state of the art? Sounds like just another company to add to the millions that will say anything to make Apple out to be the best thing in the world.....So sad...
Did they leave out that there is a color adjustment in the settings on phones with Amoled screens nowadays for the very few people that don't like them how they are. AND BESTS IT IN SUNLIGHT???? I'll have to see this is person. Lololol. Everyone knows the advantage Amoled has in sunlight.

Guys (at GSM Arena) could you please provide a full review of all the specifications of the iPhone 5? It is really pointless to show one feature of a phone that is better compared to another without having all of the information available in order to make an informed decision. I work in IT (Information Technology) and I am in the market to buy a new smart phone. I really require to know more. I have read the reviews of your Android smartphones, Windows as well as apple. Each has its pros and cons when it comes to certain areas. I would really like to read a review made by professionals and not by average Joe consumers

Wow OLED is really not new technology...sony X-Series walkman had that installed before the galaxy series, so what do do they mean by new technology. Apple loyalist are trying they hardest to make the new iphone more then what it really is and that is kinda sad. most of the opinions when comparing the iphone to any other phone has been completely one sided, to favor apples device. if you compare the specs yourself you will find out that apples new phones specs are at best averge or below compare to the GS3 or any other smartphone that is currently released.

After all, Samsung manufactured their Own Display and even supplies Amoled for Nokia and Motorolla..
2013 best Display Phones are Nokia Lumia 920 and NoteII.

Over-saturated ? More like VIVID and BEAUTIFUL.Not to mention the deep blacks of the AMOLED screen.
