What do you think if Apple Manufactured the Amoled Screen?
Of course, they Release it as the Most advance Display on the Market. I think, Apple or The person who made that article were jelous of Samsung Innovations. Brainwashing again from Apple... Making Such article cuz Apple couldn't to make the Most advanced display. Lmao

The first company that announces a 1080p display on a sub 5 inch device is going to get loud shouts of "WHY??" from me, as it seems pointless.

I think most high end smartphone displays are wonderful. HTC One X, SGS3, iphone 7, Nokia Lumia 920. It's amazing just how far we've come from green backlit two tone displays we used over ten years ago. If only batteries had evolved as fast.
720p (or thereabouts) displays are all that interest me in this years phones though.
I would give up quad core, NFC, wireless charging (which comes from a wired device) just for a good three days battery life.

The iPhone 5 screen have so low resolution that it can not even play normal 720p movies without having to make the movie-resolution smaller to fit the screen resolution!

Love it ... this means Shamesung S3's display is bigger but shame in comparison to iphone 5. Way to copy iPhone's Display techique Samsung.
I wonder how people tells SGS3 as a best phone in comparison to iPhone even it's display is worst? I think display is a important feature of phone which u gonna use most. Shamesung better to improve your display rather than showing Ad against Apple :-) hope now they have understood why people were standing in queue.

interesting ....as AMOLED represents the best technology so far, for mobile phone and TV (OLED was introduced in NOKIA 880 and it was great) by the way - Apple asked for amoled screens for 4s but samsung refused as they could't supply that quantity (as they said) There is no technology or software for LCD - to look great, even BRAVIA Engine cannot help, this are the limitation for the old technolgy LCD -look at the TV market..

Obviously the people at DisplayMate are retards. Of course the amoled dodesn't have the same prfect colors like an IPS LCD...
SO it's not the iphone 5's victory..it's just the teck of LG's IPS super lcd and stuff. Cause there's a few types of suepr lcd.lcd 2 . ips lcd 2 and whatever...so LG also wins this match ,also any other IPS LCD phone.

It's true, AMOLED produces inaccurate and unrealistic colors. iPhone has an exceptional display i must say. I am looking forward to check Sony Xperia S with 342dpi, I hope they'll even surpass Apple in color contrast and display quality.

since the topic is about displays, a lot of people are switching to phablets (u know, 5 inchers).
i'm considering upgrading to a phablet next year. but not sure which one.
imo, phablets are not bulky. always have my headset anyway.
i see mostly ladies are using it. they have these wallet type casings. looks nice even on petite ladies. very fashionable.
for me bigger screen is better. i'm used to carrying my psp with me. imagine if my psp had a phone capabilities. well, this is the answer.

Too many people complain about the GS3s display being over saturated and don't bother to find out if it can be adjusted.It can and takes about 20 seconds to go into settings>screen mode and adjust it from the third of the 4 settings that it defaults to to one of the more natural settings below it.
