They use the same factories that the Chinese brands. Difference is only that cause it's Nokia they ask higher price and there is no difference in quality. Plastic is still plastic. Is it under Nokia sticker or Xiaomi wont make any difference. You think HMD is so big company like Samsung that have it's own factories to make everything ? You pay twice to amount for HMD as you give them even tip for using slave workers from china just so they can make 1000% of profit.

People tend to forget that HMD lost a lot during the Bond movie marketing which just goes to waste, this is just one of the issue (but not limited to) that I can think of. HMD OFC will recuperate those from whatever price they think their phone could sell, right now which is so much higher than what these X-series could probably be justified. The pricing were neither because of the pandemic, strict regulations in labor nor anything related to quality, the current pricing of these phones were due to bad decisions in the past and even now also bad decision with these current pricepoints. No wonder why Sarvikas jumped ship to Qualcomm.

Anonymous, 09 Apr 2021Again comparing with Chinese phones.. You think that thing ... moreHMD phones are manufactured by chinese ODMs mainly and maybe few even cheaper ones. And if you research enterprises as big as Nike, Apple, Samsung, LG, etc. All them, even sending inspectors to their providers, can't often detect and avoid those practices. And that includes HMD that is even smaller and sure that don't have that much employees inspecting providers and probably without even the same pressure above their ODMs as their orders are inferior to competitors. So wake up. Fortunately, sometimes the matter is discovered and corrected when it is reported by the workers to the company that orders the orders. But sadly it can happen again even if you change to other ODM or provider and changing from one to another when they do it wrong and are discovered or betrayed. Even ODMs have their own problems about that with their provides. So sometimes is also a third party problem.
ODMs in the mobile phones global tech industry aren't that much and the few big ones are shared by all brands INCLUDING the foreign ones and also de chinese ones like Xiaomi or BBK or Huawei. Despite if the ODM is sitted in China, Vietnam, India or wherever it is. And HMD-Nokia outsource the 88% of their phones:

Problem is X20 doesn't have unique features like A52, so it's not worth that price tag.

It is even more powerful than SD710, SD712 and SD720G.. This is definitely a midrange chip despite its SD4xx nomenclature.. People are behind Chinese brands, only because of high specs and low price, but only if you use you will know that the overall user experience is so bad. What if their fate will be the same as Huawei? No one can predict the future.

Looking at it's specifications, this phone in Nokia 3.5 with 5G and Android 11 OS. This should not cost more than $200 for base version. Looking at current situation, it will be doubtful if they will able to provide 3 OS updates to this phone.
Nokia is following Apple in Hardware department (removing charger from box). Will they dare to follow them also in Software department (5 years of OS updates)? Otherwise, soon they will have follow LG (shutting down mobile division).

Nokia is yesterday! Their tech is so behind and old that even their employees don't touch it's product with company offers. It has sold out or closed many of it's departments due to lack of customer or outdated products. Please do a favor to the world and stop producing mobile phones
