The reason everyone makes such a fuss is so they can deal with the fact they have 0 options as opposed to endless options. The real deal behind fragmentation is called choice

In any case Texas Instruments cannot compete with other brands like Apple and Samsung and Nokia. So it makes sense they are withdrawing from smartphones. They are good only for calculators.

My Nokia N9 is running nicely on a 3 year old OMAP 3630. :( I agree OMAPs were becoming less popular but speed and battery life also depends on software optimization, y' know?
