As much as I like this new 10 iii, I do think that Sony has missed an opportunity to create a spiritual successor of the Xperia Compact model. Considering that Sony once thought of building the SD 720G-powered Plus version of the 10 ii since the first-gen 10 has it, Sony could have made the vanilla 10 iii with a 5.5" screen alongside SD 690 chipset and the Plus 10 iii with a 6.0" screen alongside SD 765G chipset and a larger MP main camera sensor.

They feel " obligated " to do same. Few years ago brands like OnePLus, LeEco, Lenovo started to boost storage and ram because they had nothing useful to offer.

            - What's the point of having 12/16GB ram? Not even 400 apps open can take half of this.
            - What's the point of having 65/100/120W charging? No way your battery loses less than 15% per year.
            - 50/64/108MP that cant be used at high res mode because they look like trash, inferior to a 20 years old dslr.

            Apple, Sony and Samsung are not the ones with macro/depth cam above 700 euros.

                The fact ads phones can't be changed. Understand? If you said because of Chinese Company well why in the first place must be there is ads on it on default.

Cannot see ... morePeople want 120Hz just to scroll faster when doing dumb stuff like testing how many apps open phone can handle and "see" all facebook and instagram new posts they want to ignore plus to avoid more notifications on screen.

                        Waste of battery.

                        1) almost all games are locked at 60fps, phones cant even sustain 60. many keep between 58 and 54.
                        2) everything you watch on tv is 24/25/30fps

                        Proof is: check any video on youtube person shows difference between using 60 and 120. Person opens browser , go to any website and scrolls. Nothing more.

                        Funny part is when few phones back in 2017 already had 120Hz, same people that today demand 120/144/240Hz did not fell any issues in using 60.

                        In the end people that just want a great phone but do not care about stuff like 120Hz, 16GB ram , 512GB storage, 100 W charging end up paying for these when they do not plan to use.

                        No wonder why even chinese phones are 1200 euros lately.

                          If not for Xiaomi, nowadays people will still pay 350$ for SD4xx powered smartphones!

                          The ads in Xiaomi are non-existent. if u set ur phone to ANY European nations, OR just spend 5mins to explore the 'settings' to turn-off the ads!

                          You people r the reason why companies like Apple are getting away with their exorbitant pricing policy, because you people have always stereotyped 'Chinese phones = cheap = ads-invested = malware-rich junk'

                            I use a premium (1500+ USD) 4K touchscreen laptop for my everyday work which has “only” 60 Hz refresh rate. And believe me, I cannot see any disturbing effects in “UI experience” which might suggest that a higher refresh rate would be welcomed. Why should be different on a smartphone? (Again, no games, at all.)
                            Do you know what am I thinking? This 120 Hz is useful only for gamers, otherwise is a huge money killer for snobbish people. Am I right? 😁
