      Name a flagship from 2017 w/ a sensor size bigger than 1/2". Or if u really want to go that route, then even I can say that the 808 PV has a bigger sensor & higher "true" resolution (not that quad/nona-bayer) than 99% phones out there

            It depends, my Xperia Pro seems doing fine at the moment and it does not bring any tangible benifits. If the price is close to the Xperia 1ii on lunch day (640 euro), I might just get one just for the sake of it.

                That logic doesn't make much sense. So, Apple screwed their "mid-range" SE, so by that logic even their flagships $1000+ models should be be pointless

                    Well its Sony dont expect cheapm phones this brand cost way more than manufacturing cost of a whole device.
                    If some company is way more expensive than apple yes its Sony.
                    Even the low end devices made by brands like xiaomi for 100 or 150 bucks would cost under sony 300-400 just because of a Sony logo.
                    Cluzmsy people will pay everything because they believe they buy quality.
                    To be honest low end specced devices nio matter they are made from Xiaomi, Vivo, Oppo, Realme or Meizu they will last as long as yur warranty so maybe 2-3 years and you have to replace them. Sony is no different.
                    For that case paying 300-400 bucks for device worth 100-150 bucks is really stupid.
                    But as i said clumsy people will buy and on people like them Sony will bathe in gold even they making and selling just false gold but prettending and advertisig it like its a real thing worth the money and effort.

                    Personal advice i would never buy overpriced things where any device or thing cost 3-45 or 10 times more than manufacturing costs is not worth.

                      What price cut??
                      They haven't even released any pricing yet and you guys are just going off of one leak from Russia
                      Expect better from GSMA

                        I only miss bigger screen and hires and leading tele cameras. For a phone with a jack, whatever price will do as there is no other alternative.

                            r33fd, 25 Apr 2021It should still be able to play movies.I think it's more about the aspect ratio/resolution. A lot of Netflix series/movies are in 21:9 which works well on Xperia devices. When you got 20.1:9 or some stupid aspect ratio like that, it ruins the experience.

                                      Let's see. A big 4K screen. Sufficiently large battery. 512GB + memory expansion. This might actually be my next phone and my first Sony. :D
