      It's clear you were thrown as a child, you can't formulate a proper response. I don't blame your parents, I would do the same thing if I were them. Do you know the pixel size for the Xperia 1 iii? Maybe the 12 MP camera have big pixels? DId you consider that?

      Let's talk about it. Do you know why the 4K resolution actually makes a difference because of the pentile matrix. Unless I'm mistaken and anyone is free to correct me, but to quickly sum it up, what we have as 1080p in OLED would be 720p on LCD, so you effectively have a 2K display on the Xperia.

      Gimmick? Name a company that has the same features? It's exclusive to Sony because of their approach to the smartphone cameras. Speaking of cameras, you never said why variable telephoto is trash, I would love an explanation.

        Amazing phones with top notch features..better than the rubbish companies spewing out phones removing features one by one. I will get my hands on one once it has arrived.

I believe they are all 16:9 therefore require a 2160p display (Xperia 1 III is 1644p, whereas others are 1440p).

            For the everyday folk, there is not much difference between a flagship and a midrange phone. Both have youtube, Netflix, both surf the internet, both make phones call.
            If sony wants to sell phone in the current market, their software need to be on point. No lag, no bug, good photo. And no bullshit.
            But personally, I think they really have a weird aspect ratio; a hotdog looking phone.

There is litteraly no use for 4k in tiny screen, no human ever will see a difference in 1080p or 4k resolution, there simple limitation human eyes can see.                         You do realize the way that OLED displays are, the 4K resolution actually makes a difference. I have an Xperia and compared it to others, you actually do notice something.

                        Explain how variable zoom is terrible? It's the first variable telephoto on a phone, if anything it would be better than the digital zoom that others do.

                          sony needs to come up with a solid plan to Carrier affiliate it's phones or a handsome trade in program of their own. for example, samsung took my two years old S10 plus for 550$ when S21 series hit the market, that's 55% of it's sticker value! now i don't know how i would convince myself to buy sony's phone when no carrier in US even have them in their trade in program!
                          cell phone market is kind of like automotive market nowadays, you always think of it's residual value and much like cars you think of trading in or it's resale value since you change them at least two to three years down the line. again, unless sony comes up with a handsome buy back program like samsung or make carrier affiliated program, chances are bleak for them to have a homerun with their phone sales and their phones will remain a niche product for very small target market.
                          P.S anything over 999.99$ for Xperia 1 III is an instant "NO THANK YOU"

                                Back when Sony made good price to performance mobiles in the day...now all their phones are overpriced

                                  Sony can catch the market if they make flagship phones for decent price! Nowadays every smartphone companies are scam. I trusted Apple but they are also slowly becoming nightmare for customers i would say they are already nightmare just like others. LG also could have survived if they could have listened to customers need!

                                  600 - 750+$ Maximum - No Yearly Price Increase
                                  2 Years Warrenty
                                  3 Years Software Updates
                                  Release New Phones only every 2 years

                                  Release only few phones to cover each segments:
                                  Low Entry Level 150 - 250$

                                  Medium Semi Level 300 - 400$

                                  Budget High End 450 - 550$

                                  High end flagship with different specs 600 - 750+$
                                  Just like Apple, dont compromise quality just show differences in Ram, Camera, Display Size, Display Resolution, etc but still must be a great flagship phones

                                  These can make customers happy and the brand becomes trustworthy. I am just a customer so fedup at the smartphone scam business by so called prestigious brands Apple, Samsung, Asus, Xiaomi, Oneplus, etc...
