Luthfor, 30 Apr 2021No offense. Just use a vivo. You never come back. Xiaomi againIt's true! The basic navigation is so much better than any other OS. All you need can be accessed from the bottom with one hand, only for notifications you would use two hands. I believe all other phone manufacturers will soon move the tools to the same place as in vivo phones ;) Also, you can't swipetype on xiaomy in gesture mode, lol because you will always accidentally hit back lol :D

I can't even open more than 4 average-sized apps on my K30 5G without having any reload from any of the apps opened. It just sucks since I've seen other Android devices with 6GB RAM operating the same Android 11 OS that can easily keep at least 5 basic apps before a reload begins.
It's not like the phone remains super fast when doing so, and the battery life is still just average despite this app-killing function of MIUI 12.

As after rooting the device, there is a software which can change the internal storage as virtual memory for RAM,
That's how xiaomi will make an addition feature of extending ram

Anonymous, 30 Apr 2021The fastest UFS 3.1 solid state storage is no slouch, but i... moreOf course. It's purpose is internal storage so ROM not ram. It's the same as the swap file on a PC. It may come in useful on phones with maybe 4gb ram and a heavy duty chipset but 6gb ram and above should never really be inadequate. I have no idea what anyone could be doing on a mobile phone to require more than that.

The amount of free ram for camera is actually in build prop
Other brands don't do it so in high load situations there's stutter in slomo sometimes.

bulbulito.bayagbag, 30 Apr 2021Vivo is already doing this. Is it? Even my Tab 2 from 2012, OnePlus One from 2014 and HTC Desire 816G from 2015 are doing the same.
Because an application called "Roehsoft RAM Expander" has been developed a decade ago to perform this task. All it needed was Root Access. That's it.

AnonD-974821, 30 Apr 2021No offense but miui is far better than funtouch os.Again, its personal preference. MIUI is a very heavy ui. In fact, if it wasnt for ver 11 up my rn7 would be super laggy. Vivo's funtouch is lighter to use, still, they overhauled this with their upcoming origin os. MIUI should follow

Kevinv, 30 Apr 2021You don't have that much trouble with a 6GB (RAM) phon... moreMost of my phones have 6GB RAM. I've never thought I need more RAM even once. I don't really see any practicality in this with all the phones coming out with 8GB+ RAM. You can have 12GB of RAM and MIUI is still gonna sleep your background apps LOL.
