Android-Authority, 01 May 2021People over here in Europe need not pay €1200 for base vari... moreI'm considering to go with mi11 pro however it will never have official Global rom and I want to avoid flashing ROM due to many reasons (mainly banking wont work with unlocked bootloader nor google pay). Therefore can user living in EU that has CN version of xiaomi phone answer following questions?
- does google pay work in EU with our credit/debit cards?
- does GPS work here? I read somewhere it doesn't work properly but not sure.
- are there any other restrictions etc? China has some stuff banned/blocked for users.
- anything that is annoying and cant be disabled/removed etc?

Samsung Galaxy S21 Ultra having 1500 nits means the same thing... it's the maximum it can reach in HDR content or bright sunlight
You have no idea how tough it is to get 1700 nits on a smartphone panel. It's the brightest panel in the industry.
I have used both Galaxy S21 Ultra and MI 11 Ultra, the MI 11 Ultra is indeed brighter and more responsive thanks to 480hz touch sampling rate and miui optimization.

Local shops can repair it as... moreXiaomi does not have international warranty which means imports from China remain out of warranty in any other market and vice versa. Whatever Giztop 2 year warranty is it remains to be discussed with them. The best they can do is to offer the phone return so they can ship it back to China to claim warranty. Not sure who is going to pay for that shipping to and back from China.

I have Xiaomi phones for 7 years, never had any problems before.
Asked for support in main office in Netherlands, no support or help.
Phone was bought in Mi Store in Shenzhen, even talked to guy who work in shop, as he knows me. Only option was to send it back to China..
BTW, I live in EU country, with all laws applied, and my country has official representative and distributor of Xiaomi !
Good luck with repairs of Xiaomi bought in non-offical channels
...and yes, I would do it again, price difference was more than 40 %...

I had problem with Mi Mix3 few weeks ago, everybody in Europe denied even the option to change OLED on my cost...
So, shame on Xiaomi, big warning to everyone importing from China directly
P.S. problem solved with local small shop, with cost below 100 EUR...
