Pretty sure the 12 MP "macro" camera is an ultrawide camera w/auto focus for macro capabilities. these are just leak info afterall. nothing is concreate yet until the official announcement

The problem with Asus is availability.. I wanted to buy Asus Rog 2 512 gb and am still buying.. because every version they introduce is not available and still searching for Asus rog 5 512 version and it's two years of wait now ..

do people really buy their p... moreI mean since last two years Asus was bringing flipcam phone, which had production issue due to unavailability of flipcam components. Many were willing to buy it, but couldn't since they were mostly out of stock everywhere. And Asus doesn't spent much on useless partnerships and advertisement. General public still buys heavility advertised phones, whether they are worth it or not. But tech reviewers love it, and many of them showed disappointment when Zenfone 7 was not launched in their markets. The Zenfone Max Pro series sold really well too, before they exited the budget segment. So you can say there's a lot of enthusiasm among tech reviewers and enthusiasts, but not the general public. Maybe Asus will advertise their phones more this time given that they can keep up with the demand.
Also, Zenfone 6 was priced right for what it offered. Not everyone is looking for such phone, but those who are, they are willing to pay the premium for it. So you can say last to Zenfones were targeted a certain niche, but the new punchole Zenfone is targeted towards general public.

like, the only people buy them are "tech experts", rich tech "enthusiasts" and people who know stuff about them.
but regular people dont buy them
they buy much better flagships for around the same price (yall gonna argue with me why other flagships aint as good as the upcoming zenfone 8 pro aint yall?)

Not related to space not enough to have one.
To take advantage of jack, you need great headphones.
Those cheap that come in the box always have low quality.
Brands are making too much money out of earbuds.
OEMs simply do not want to put the jack to sell more wireless gear.

They seems confident enough with that main 64MP on the Zenf 8 paired with 12MP macro instead of most phones using main+wide. How wide is the main 64MP cam?
