Most company these days first create some problems in their products if there aren't any, then they give its solution like removal of headphone jack. Then its solution wow wireless earphones which are basically 10x times in cost of that of 3.5 mm supported earphones and are non repairable also they remove it by saying that we are removing it for the betterment of environment but you have to now buy separate earphone with bluetooth and with extrapackging so you end up creating more waste but again since they work on battery which is basically a degrading on its own and since they are basically irreparable they can't be repaired once their battery dies. So in the end you end up creating more waste and e waste which you wouldn't have if company hadn't removed headphone jack in the name of space if only they would have just removed the earphone only in the packaging then it would have been better for the environment. It is basically puts user in predicament since he thinks he is doing better for the environment but unknowingly he end doing the opposite. This thought is not directed towards all companies (not any particular) who in the name of innovation ends up creating something which is not good for environment in long run but basically it is good for company in short run

With a notch on Android I could still use a rooted app to display a second notification/status bar, so it doesn't kill notification & status icon spaces and still has a useful value as protection.
While the punch hole still take valuable space but doesn't justify to add another bar and exist only for a camera that could easily be removed in favor of a second display on the back.
What I prefer is a phone with NO dead pixels at all, and all 3D face recognition sensors on the back that also serve for photography scanning, but since everytime someone want a phone with no front camera, people are FORCED to complain about it, it never appeared, so I have to do with what is available.

Anonymous, 15 May 2021People without hands can unlock the phone with their toes. ... moreSure, someone who has burnt fingertips will use his toes to unlock his phone, same with someone who know for fact his fingerprint are EASY to get (some jobs result in your fingerprint being easy to collect).
If you are forced to take an example up top personal level, it doesn't mean I have to, it was an EXAMPLE, try finding a SINGLE alternative example where I can put 2D or 3D face unlock in a less convenient situation for comparison and comeback complaining that I like something.

Moto, 15 May 2021You missed the point. The point was that no ones needs 3D f... moreIf I there was a Poco F2 Pro 3D with 3D face recognition I would have taking it without hesitations over the regular one, I want secure unlock, 2D unclock is for convenient but is absolutely not secure at all.
I am advocating to in fact push 3D face recognition further by adding dynamic structured light + UV, NOT for making it dump.
The same some say that Apple users don't have the choice is also true for Android, the total lack of phones with 3D face recognition (and I DON'T count ToF) mean that it isn't because some use the convenience of the 2D face unlock that they wouldn't want the more secure 3D version.

There are people without fingers/f... moreYou missed the point. The point was that no ones needs 3D face uinlock, which is what apples uses in their massive iphone nothces.
Your Poco, and any other phone with a selfie cam, is perfectly capable of performing face unlock without a massive notch.
Hole punches, teardrop notches and pop-up or slide-up cameras are all capable of face unlock, for thos who prefer it over fingerprint, pattern, PIN or password unlock.

There are people without fingers/fingerprints, I've yet to see someone without a face.
And there is this thing called preferences, not everyone has the same tastes as you, I am gladly using the pop up camera of my brand new Poco F2 Pro for face unlock and find it more comfortable to use even with the delay and having to swipe up than using the fingerprint.

And frankly, looking at my phone, having so much black on top would ruin the balance and it would look and feel far worse than just a smaller black notch with visible "horns".
