Will this camera system will suffer the same issue?

Anonymous, 17 May 2021Isn't OIS useful to compensate for movement in video a... moreOh indeed it is - I tend to forget video, as I so rarely use it shooting.
BUT for the image shifting between frames in a video due to camera shake they can just as well do this electronically cropping edges, as long as each exposure time is small enough to have limited shift while the shutter is open. And again the increased light sensitivity allows for shorter exposure times for each frame.
Whether that would cancel out depends on the capabilities of the OIS.
Panning in videos, or moving objects in the video should actually be better with the short exposures, as the movement within each frame will be less. So each frame should be less smudged out. (panning is complex to compensate with OIS, and moving objects can not be handled by OIS)

EskeRahn, 17 May 2021Again Sharp is way ahead. Too bad we seldom see their devic... moreThe sensor sits behind a very wide 19mm equivalent lens, so in reality this phone is more or less comparable to V60 Pro+ in terms of sensor area per field of view and is beaten by Mi 11 Ultra in this regard. The lack of OIS is also a big downside of this camera system, not to mention it doesn't really offer many choices to the user when it comes to focal lengths - you can pretty much forget about it if you use the zooming function frequently.
It might be the ultimate single camera smartphone, sure, but most people will find high end devices from other manufacturers more practical.

But i don't particularly care on the 240hz really, i care much more on this is an OLED capable of 1hz.
I could have full always on background running on my phone all the time with less impact on my battery.

This is not the first cameraphone with a 1 inch sensor. That was the Panasonic DMC-CM10 from 2014, also with Leica optics.

Rkm, 17 May 20211 inch sensor stuck at f/1.9 is going to create some issues... moreIndeed, though F1.9 and 1" is great for collecting light it will on the other hand have a narrow DOF, that is not always optimal.

Why can't you male your displays widespread sharp?

The specs is quite impresive especially the display's brightness can achieve 2000 nits? Holy Moly! Who even want to see that 2000 nits brightness even for some part of HDR+ contents? It will burn the oled easily..

I am sure Apple and others going to copy this. With this sort, I worked partially saving money on Digital Camera . The display seems to be too good as well. But it is surprisingly limited to a small market. In any case Sharp never made it my region. Let’s see the reviews. May be this will be the Mobile to beat for the next two years or so!

This ain't gonna be cheap, given that it's Japan only (hence made in low qty) and has top of the line specs. Should be easily €1200+ or even more.

Bigmeme, 17 May 2021Great phone by sharp... Just wish it had OIS or sensor shif... moreRemember that the need for OIS is less with a more light sensitive system.
We usually want the OIS to compensate for the long exposure times needed with a tiny sensor and/or narrow aperture.
Obviously it would be nice to have both, but I would definitely choose a light sensitive system over OIS.
