Well, tsmc 6nm is better than samsung 5nm, so they could switch the names

So anything beyond PP presentations when unveiling the chip or, as someone said, what anandtech and other sites/people discover (or in some cases even just guess), you will not find anything about those.

Anonymous, 20 May 2021Cause 777 is a badluck # in the u. SUm no? The number 777 is considered a lucky number and is actually called the Angel Number biblically. It's 666 that is related to the devil and is unlucky.

The figures of the 78 and 80 are the same, except the process size. Is this the fan shortage, and they are introducing a refined alternative part on available 6nm fab capacity?

The real questions often avoided by news sites, is what performance capacity does the imaging unit have. Pixels per second, resolution and frame rates, video modes, and codec compressed datarate capacity. Talk to Qualcomm, cultivate a relationship as one of the leading mobile sites in the world, to ask them the imaging and GPU numbers on announced chipsets. Maybe they will through some exclusives your way eventually, as you want one day for them to feel safe enough to bring prototypes to your office, or invite you to theirs. Imagine that.

Basically, exactly the same chipset as the 780G but with a slightly toned down GPU and TSMC 6nm die fabrication. Considering that TSMC always has a good track when it comes to chipset performance, maybe this could be a much more worthy option than the Samsung-fabricated 780G.

That means for 50 bucks or euro difference you can have a perfect allrounder phone under 400 with great performance display and battery and all these on a smaller node not like 10nm+

It's likely that demand it relatively high that producing it via Samsung isn't going to meet demand, so using TSMC will help, however they needed to differentiate the 5mm vs the 6mm process and this can affect battery life and performance.
