Everyone's focusing on the price of the 5a being more that the 4a, but that's an apples/oranges comparison. Since the 5a is a 5G phone (Google even referred to it as the "5a 5G" in a press release) it's a successor to the "4a 5G," not the standard 4a, and thus price comparisons should be made to the 5G-capable version of the phone.

higher pricing for the 5a, yikes. If I decided what to include, I'd take the 4a, give it an upgraded SoC like 765G or 860, 90Hz screen, ultra wide camera, leave everything else the same and drop the price by another 50 or 100€.
