The custom SoC won't be as fast as the Snapdragon 888.

Is not a lie about the phones I owned. I never lied on arena, unlike other people in here who make up fantasies stories about phones that they never owned.
Plus, you are anonymous, how much trust do you think you have? Lol.
And yes, I had both a Realme 6 and a Note 10. But I never said Realme 6 is better than the Note 10.

"Internal reports suggest that Google will be all in with this year's marketing campaign, rivaling even Samsung's S series' marketing budget. Perhaps Google is really excited about its upcoming phone and is confident that it will be one of the best 2021 flagships."

That depends on how much the Pixel 6 cost and the features it would have. Flagship Pixel phones may have USB-C 3.1, but Google deliberately disabled the video output support. It means that it can't even do wired screen mirroring, let alone use the (hidden) built-in Desktop Mode... which is truly ironic for a Google-branded phone.

Anonymous, 24 May 2021How many devices have you used in the past one year? 15 phones in the last 2 years. I am on my 16 phone now. Lol.
But I like to try them out instead of watching YouTube videos and then come on arena and pretend I know everything about a phone, like some of this kids are doing. I usually watch YouTube videos after I bought the phones.
But I think I will not change the one I am using now. Well, technically I own two now. A Galaxy S21 and a Poco F3 for gaming usually.

The Samsung Exynos 2100 IS "somewhere between the Snapdragon 865 and 888"

Anonymous, 24 May 2021Mid range chip will after all be mid range chip. Of course. I stopped buying flagship phones in 2015. Personally I feel that unless you're a heavy mobile gamer the software just isn't using most of the performance. The Q3 Pro and Zenfone 8 will be the fastest phones I've bought since 2015 in terms of performance relative to current flagships. The Pixel 4a has been my primary phone since I got it and I haven't regretted it. I just wish it got some glass back love from Google.

I honestly prefer the Pixel's plastic back to the Realme, but I'd prefer a glass back in both cases. The Q3 Pro runs laps around the 4a in terms of performance though.

Seen some clickbait articles about this. Who cares? 865 or 870 is absolutely fine. Definite improvement over the midrange chip they used on last year's Pixel.

Over-priced for its spec and performance, but it's an alphabet device, so that's what you expect.
Pixel family barely makes them a profit, so it won't last much longer.

Perofrmance between SD 865 and 888 is fine. Question is just at what cost. Pixel 5 is quite expensive given it has no dedicated ISP and only SD765.

"Starting with the so-called Whitechapel chip, Weinbach's sources believe that it won't be as powerful as the Snapdragon 888 or Samsung's Exynos 2100. It's still going to be based on Samsung's 5nm tech, but it will fall somewhere between the Snapdragon 865 and 888 in terms of raw performance.

The special bit about the custom SoC is the NPU (Neural Processing Unit) and ISP (Image Signal Processor) inside."

I am guesing in terms.of image processing it should be as good as the 888. In.other aspects it.may be slower. Also, hopefully, Google has worked on their video quality. That has really been lacking on the pixels.

So why are you complaining, I don't get it, maybe the black colour makes it look/feel even more cheap. They could've done a few more coloured options or some Realme 7 Pro type matte back or the best was to employ the Lumia design.

After my disappointment with the Pixel 4a (in terms of built quality and price), I have doubts on the Pixel 5a.
Camera was really nice though. Is the only thing I liked about that phone.
But stock Android is no longer considered a plus. If anything, is a minus these days, with all the nice features other Android skins have.
