Just check the battery test here on GSMA, all iPhones are totally poor with battery life. No matter how efficient the iOS is claimed, reality is against it.
I was thinking about buying SE 2020 or 12 mini, but the batteries are a tragedy (59 and 69 hours).

Anonymous, 25 May 2021It's why Apple can get away with such small battery ce... moreThis is so true and it irritates me. Apple's efficiency isn't enough to compensate for their frugality of batteries and this is what all iPhone fans will accept. Despite all the complaints, they remain stubborn. It was when they released iPhone XS, they had decent battery life thanks to TSMC 7nm. 11 PM set the benchmark for battery life with 3969 mAh which is adequate. They are fully capable of pushing the battery capacity even further but choose not to. M1 proves how much of a difference in battery life compared to X86 chips. Now what we want is fast charging. A bit off topic there but had to write it out.

Not only do Apple have better hardware, they can tailor it so well for their software which increases the gap more. Apple still relies on Qualcomm for their modem so even if they compete, Qualcomm cannot die and also stick with mid range and entry level, markets Apple won't touch.

X2,16% improve compare to X1, but remember it is 8MB L3 version vs 4MB L3 X1. If new chip choose still using 4MB L3 X2, improvement will down to around 10%
                          Basiclly shit
A710, performance improvement only 10%, shit
A510, 35% improve compare to 4 YEARS OLD A55, still worse than A73(around 90% A73's performance), not so shit bit still bad

Hope Nuvia can help Qualcomm design something new about CPU...or Android community may suffer some problem late years...

Ok. Since I am quite satisfied with my current mid-ranger phone, I think I'll wait for my next regen with this newer tech. One that uses, assuming will be in similar current mid-ranger configuration, 6 A510, and 2 A710. X series never be my consideration since I never ran high-performance tasks anyway. Maybe around one-two years ahead?

And their chipsets are historically always entire generation ahead of any Qualcomm's offerings and it has been this way for quite few years now. Only Qualcomm's saving grace is that they aren't really competing directly, otherwise they'd have a pretty bad time.
