Counterpoint: HMD shipped 2 million Nokia smartphones in Q1, up from 1.7 million a year ago

But it's not all good. The Nokia phones fell out of favor in India, but are doing well in Africa and parts of Europe.

Fake news. Nokia 8.3 dropped 200 euros within its first month and x20 and the other garbage will share the same fate.

HMD's recent phones are just garbage, whatever number they manage to sell its not because they made a good product it's because of that brand name they are using. They have the rights to nokia brand till 2024, hope so the original Nokia then make a comeback with their original good quality phones

Ecbert, 26 May 2021I'm happy with my Nokia 5.4, I don't understand w... moreI have had like 15 phones from Nokia out of like at most 20 phones i have ever had. I am very happy with the Xiaomi phone i have had for 3 years for the price i got it for. Nokia sadly dont want me as a customer cause they had nothing in that price range i was looking for and i dont care for the stock android and for sure i am not willing to pay 2 phone price for just android one as thats the specs from Xiaomi i had was from Nokia 2 times the price for same specs but only android one that was better even tough people think that was a good nokia model as 7.1 but for me it wasnt worth it as for that money i would of got already pocophone F1

I'm happy with my Nokia 5.4, I don't understand what people are all complaining about when they never bought such a phone. Happy customer here, my next phone will be a Nokia again.

Making a crappy rebrand of another Chinese phone and calling it Nokia isn't going to end well...

They should promote their stuff and show to the world their highest capabilities if they want to survive.

Also, stop borrowing other Chinese manufacturer's products and do an original phone design...

FatShady, 26 May 2021shipped doesn't mean soldIn this case it does.
              Because stores buy from them.
If they do not sell, their problem.
Money is already inside HMD's pocket.

Real Nokia in Finland is still making phones but not for customers but companies. Hmd makes phones for customers

Releasing smartphones with nostalgic vibe than what the market want... Good decision to make Nokia fall apart

Hmd left the Chinese market, has no plans for the Indian market the two are the biggest market yet they ignored them how will they sell with poor marketing and delays in releasing anounced products... also not able to brain wash people like the Chinese guys do is their problem...

Such a shame Nokia phones are so uninspiring and technologically lagging while being too expensive at the same time. I've wanted a Nokia, but their weird product ranges with weak chipsets and absurd price tags just wipes them from my shortlists almost immediately.

I thought these were selling a little better than this. The only feature they have is Android One so I guess this explains why they don't sell well.

HMD as just the Nokia name to sell phones, but the phone we do get released in Europe are miles behind Samsung and even Motorola, we get weak chips everytime in the Nokia phones from HMD which is not right for a company like Nokia, who we all hoped would be back challenging for the Top place in the mobile market, but not one phone as really stood out from HMD,Why did the really by the Nokia name,as they have let Nokia down alot, just wish someone else would by the Nokia name off HMD,and make Nokia popular again

                            shipped doesn't mean sold
