The aspect ratio is useless to me. What's the point of having a big screen if watching fullscreen media on it produces gigantic black bars? If there was a 16:9 phone that could be folded in two, I'd be a lot more interested.

    As usual this new style poll doesn't work in Android Chrome, useless.
    Just like an overcomplicated device that folds open to offer 1" more display space...

      I would prefer a triple fold, like the one seen in Westworld. Those foldables are really awesome.

          notafanboy, 27 Jun 2021It's not betterIt's about using a single device with multiple capabilities. Think like a multitool knife. It increases portability. We're not in some video game where you can carry an unrealistic amount of items. It would look more like Death Stranding IRL.

            My dream foldable is one I can afford. And also has a large internal screen. I want the biggest screen possible that I can fold and put in my pocket.

              Foldable phones are just the most recent stupid thing invented by marketing teams to justify even more expensive phones.

              Battery/weight ratio, ergonomics and reliability goes to shit so you can have a shit smartphone that also transforms into a shit tablet.

              Wow! So progress, very tech!

                - one-handed use
                - big screen for videos
                - fits in pocket
                - productivity apps
                - coolness factor

                  Oh dear no, I'm not interested in foldable phones, but my sister Rose might like one. I'll stick with my slimline phone with last number re-dial.

                            My dream foldable looks like 300$ max

                                  I prefer regular phones, but if I had to take a foldable one, I love the design on the Mate X that allow the main display to have no stupid selfie camera ruining it along with the ability to use the vastly superior main camera for selfies.
                                  With a Wide, Ultra-Wide and a Telephoto, it doesn't lack any of the legendary trio.
                                  It only lacks a 3.5mm Jack that could have been put on the top (opposite of the USB).

                                  The Mate X2 has a better camera setup, though it still didn't have all camera above 12Mp despite the upgrade, but the punch hole on the back display wasn't necessary, the Mate X solution was better, or a simple bezel would have been more than enough.
                                  But I like the Mate X who only has a single display, which make it quite unique among large foldable phones.

                                  The Mi Mix Fold also has a good spec sheet, no pesky front camera ruining the beautiful main display, and I like the Telephoto & Macro Combo!

                                    It may seem a good idea, but medical risks are enormous. You don't recognise it while sitting, but standing and especially moving it creates a dysbalance, which in long term causes severe damage to the musculoskeletal system.
                                    And comfort of wearing such device? Can't imagine typing on a keyboard with such thing on my wrist. Or some manual work, sport activity, whatever.
