Android apps on Windows 11 will work with both Intel and AMD chips

25 June 2021
They'll also naturally work with Arm hardware, but that remains to be detailed.

Mikeromeoz, 25 Jun 2021...here we go again. Let's just get some things straig... moreI'm baffled why you took the time and effort to explain that Windows 11 is not a fork of Android. The one who stated such a nonsensical statement would have been better served by you stating, 'No, Windows 11 is not a fork of Android, but rather a knife - a knife that shall pierce at the heart of the data-harvesting OS".

Article's quote, "[With the use of Intel's Bridge technology] it's logical to assume that Android apps will work on ARM hardware"

The author fails to recognise the runtime post-compiler was developed by Intel (and not Microsoft). To even suggest the Intel Bridge will work on ARM silicon is ludicrously foolish and illogical.

Anonymous, 25 Jun 2021No any device can replace computers/laptops. Yes there are ... moreThe limitations are on the software side. Once everything under the sun is written for arm there would be no need for x86 machines. Haven't touched x86 (laptops/PCs) since 2017 given how most of everything already exists on Linux arm (for desktop computing) or android (for mobile computing).

Apple already makes the transition. Last and tired would Microsoft and at that point legacy hardware would be just that, legacy. It has been legacy for almost a decade now, however it lives on because software transition often lags...

What's the point of having Amazon app store?
Most people make their purchases from Google play store and Amazon app store is notorious for never getting updates for many popular apps (especially paid apps).
It would've been better if at least you coukd just side load apk files.

Hopefully it doesn't take too long for people to find a way to get apks working without using the app store. That way I can play my games that I know will never come out on the app store or are region locked.

school has windows 10 pcs and they run like garbage, web browsing with like 4 tabs already takes up 3.8gb ram/4gb

meanwhile i can have 10 tabs open on win7 and only use up 3gb

Just try for yourself, download android x86 in your pc be it bliss, Phoenix, remix etc then install alongside your pc, then compare your performance with emulators, you will see you get more smooth experience when your run android native.

I played lot of games with Nox including Black desert mobile, and it leak ram a lot, few hours of play I use all of my 12GB ram.
