Oh, and the notch would get smaller!
Just Don't be negative if you're wanting something new that's coming right around the corner in September!

I wouldn't keep that phone for more than a year.
Imagine how poorly the iPhone 12 pro Max will age after 4 years.
Imagine... In year 2025.. using an outdated 60hz display with ancient 20W slow charging, same old ugly notch, having to suffer issues such as the ones pushed by batterygate, tiny sensor, thermal throttling champ or a processor, lower quality OS which gets basic features 10 years late.

I would probably sleep forever. They all make great looking numbers, but the most selling are low cost phones.

[deleted post]which platform is overall better is subjective, you opinion as a random anon counts for practically nothing towards that conclusion.
And who cares if they are in competition with each other? the OEM's themselves thats who!
After all it's Apples sales figures they are chasing!

Anonymous, 01 Jul 2021"I believe the wider availability helps sell more ipho... moreMan, that's absolute nonsense. If they relied only on loyal iPhone users, they would never become so popular an never would sell that much. Only a very small minority of users changes their phone every year. Most of them keep iPhones for three, four or even more years. Just because they simply work.
I have an iPhone 8. I got it as my business phone. I don't like the system and some of it's limitations (so called security reasons), but even after two years of daily use the phone works perfectly (and by construction it is four year old now).
Face it, iPhone is good. That's it, nice and simple. Good for so many people, who don't care about brand or loyalty or some "image".

[deleted post]I am a retailer from India. There are lot of guys who were previously using Apple or Samsung flagships. Last year, They wanted an upgrade, were disappointed with the Exynos inside Samsung Galaxy Note and lackluster leaks of the iPhone 12.
These folks seemed super happy with their decision to avoid Samsung and Apple last year.
Plenty of them saved around Rs.40k by ditching weak iPhone 12 Pro Max in favor of imparting the Mi 10 ultra. So this year with the worldwide mi 11 Ultra launch, they know which brand they are going to stick to.
More importantly, Xiaomi pretty much sealed the deal for these guys by pricing the 12/256gb option for Rs.70k which is Rs.35k less expensive than S21 Ultra Exynos and around Rs.55k less expensive than iPhone 12 pro Max.

Anonymous, 01 Jul 2021If iOS ecosystem had the amount of options as Android, one ... moreYou guys just don't get it do you. Android is not a united platform, its is in competition with itself!
What you think Samsung or Sony, or Huawei, Oneplus, and on an on care about that combined figure, no!. They care only about what percentage of that figure belongs to themselves, and they want the rest.
Samsung don't want Xiaomi to do well because if they combine smartphone sales figures they get closer to the iPhone, no, they want Xiaomi to go away, and the sooner the better.

Android-Authority, 01 Jul 2021But there is no other series, there is only one series whic... morewhat difference does it make anyhow?
the comment: "Ios based phones barely crossing 100 million." wasn't a clever one in the first place, as it was contextually incorrect.
Name one other brand that has sales figures approaching this???
And don't bother combining Android sales figures, they are all in competition with each other. When HTC floundered, all other android OEM's quietly cheered, when LG threw in the towel, they cheered again. Simply because every time one of them falls the rest move one teeny tiny hope of a step closer to their real dream of getting anywhere near iPhone sales figures.
Not one single android oem is looking at overall android sales figures, they are only focused on their own little slice of it, whilst hoping the rest fail.
It's not Android vs iOS, it's Android OEMs vs eachother vs iOS
the iPhone is the best selling smartphone line in the world, has been for a while now, i'm sorry (not really) that fact seems to p*ss android fans off for whatever reason, but it is what it is at the end of the day.

How you think Apple could sell like 250 million iPhones in a year if they they sold 100 million iPhones in 7 months. lof of their sales still comes from other than iPhone 12 series so yes he wasn't technically right, he was just wrong just like you too.
