Sad its out of my expected price of atleast 1000, maybe 1100 is fine but 1300..... Maybe ill wait a few months till the price depreciates.

GSMA used to be the first place to find a review. Everyone is reviewing their units of the Xperia 1 iii. I keep looking out for GSMA's....Maybe you are following the Sony way...comes out months later. Oh well.

Overheating SD888? 4k 120Hz sceen which nobody really needs? Archaic hole in the casing (3.5mm headphone jack), useless SD card slot. Regular Joe has no clue Sony has released a new phone because a carrier store where regular Joe goes to buy his phone doesn't have one. Regular Joe ends up with Samsung cause guy that works at his store shoves it into Joe's throat because Samsung gives the biggest cut to the store.

They announce too early, and then only release when the hype is already died down. Why do they think that the consumers will be interested in their devices for months when there are others phones coming out as well?

In my country, nobody can topple a brand like Samsung without producing great devices.
They are taking up more and more of the premium market share since the past couple of years.
Now the people are abandoning the overpriced Exynos based Samsung and overpriced IPhone for Chinese brands.

I feel like it's delayed because they realized how likely it was to cannibalize 1 III sales. I should know because I'm one of the people who originally planned on buying a 1 III but then decided that the 5 III was pretty much the same but without a mostly pointless fake-4k screen (seriously wtf kind of weird res is 1644x3840?) and probably with better battery life. I can't be the only one who realized this. I'll wait until september, but I'm getting less and less excited after all these keepaway games.

Heck the most expensive ROG 5 one is €980.
And those are the most expensive non Apple/Samsung phones here.
